I love the bike and really have not had any serious issues, lucky I guess but I have to post this for others on my issue. Bike is a late 2022 with currently just over 10k.On good days its my daily driver to work.
The issue I have is randomly it would shut down when cold, starting temp in the morning is usually in mid 60's. Im talking fireing it up, running about an minute, thats to put on the helmet, turn on the Cardi, and jump on, taking off, not aggressively driving either. The bike always turns over easy or a PanAm, it has the latest starter gear on it for torque. I would go about 100 yards and poop. The only way to start is was to completely shut it down for 30 seconds then fire it up again. Popping the clutch or hitting the start button would not work. Then there was the multiple codes poping up all the time, but only in the morning starts, afternoon was fine. I figured since we are beta testers for HD that its normal. Im an auto tech so it did not usually bother me. Now all that said.
I found the problem, I think. I was doing my 10k maintenance this winter and low and behold the battery positive cable was loose and white corrosion, not the crusty kind either. Also the solenoid connection of the cable was loose too. When I say loose I mean hardly 3 finger tight with a nut driver.
Now the Stealership installed a new battery when I bought it, cause the batt was dead, on June 19 2022, then they did the 1k maintenance when I got it to that point, bike only had 4 miles on it when bought. Since I have cleaned the terminals and cables finished the 10k service so far so good. Its only been a few weeks and weather here in Michigan is in the 30's so riding is not happening a lot.
Just be aware that if your having Codes pop up on a first thing in the morning, with engine stalling, and then go away after driving plus the rest of the day without issues. Check all your battery connections and solenoid connections it just may be that simple.
Ride on my friends and two wheels up.
