PA/PAS owners...what should I be reading at the TFT home screen for DC Voltage (what do you see when everything is operating correctly?) I am reading 11.7VDC consistently (whether freshly charged battery or not). I am having intermittent issues with the FOB and suspect a low voltage condition. I replaced the FOB battery- same deal. Next, I will check the voltage at the battery itself, but I am trying to establish a baseline of what is normal for a PAS/PA in regard to VDC readings. Thanks!!

With or without engine running?
If without, that is kind of low. Should be over 12, ideally mid 12s. You likely have a weak battery.
If that is with the engine running, then you have a charging system issue that needs looked at.

On my bike, the voltage indicated on the TFT is about .2 or .3 volts lower than what I read directly from the battery.

Without the engine running. It immediately goes to the security pin input screen when the ignition switch is engaged. From what I gather from you and others my suspicion is likely correct. Weak battery. Interesting that the new PAS has a new charging "system" and larger battery..hmmm. Thanks!

Hi @Wulfie. My 21 just started doing the same thing battery has been on a tender. Flick switch - no fuel pump sound, HD startup on screen, goes to pin page the quickly to normal screen then shuts off. I tried it with a battery booster and same problem so I’m thinking it may be a fob issue because when I move the bike, the lights flash but alarm didn’t go off. I’m going to try a new fob battery tomorrow.

Yes, generally when you do not hear the fuel pump prime and the screen shuts off quickly, it's because it didn't see the key fob.

HD needs to increase the timeout for waiting for a pin code to ensure the display boot process has fully completed. I have found if you repeatedly press and left turn switch, you increase your chances of getting an input recognized by the display before the bike decides to shut down.

Normally on mine is from 11.6 to 11.9 without the battery tender, no issues starting.
Also, I started using the transport mode, to keep more charge as possible, due to a lack of an outlet and unable to use a trickle charger at the moment.

Sorry for the delayed response. My Harley Davidson dealer replaced the FOB as it was deemed defective. HD took 21 days to get another FOB, and I was told it is a "new revision" FOB. Soon after fixing the problem, I was out for a ride and was stopped at a flag zone for road construction when a clueless driver slammed into me at 30-35MPH and totaled my bike. I was rushed to the hospital but cleared trauma protocol (knocked me out). I am healing up from the accident, but my beautiful '22 Pan America Special (aka Wulfie) was totaled. I saw the driver coming at me in my RH mirror but had no time to react. Be careful out there as clueless distracted drivers are everywhere. My insurance took good care of me so at least that is a positive. Right now, I might consider a 2024 PAS since the battery capacity and charging issues are apparently resolved....hmmmmm.

Good to hear you’re ok

And you have a new FOB! And are alive. Well done.

Sounds like a bad stator / regulator (they go in pairs) hello ESP warranty lol

I hope you got that low voltage issue fixed by now.

Sounds like everyone's runs at high 13's to low 14's (with engine running) like mine does....
