I’m considering getting the HD daymaker lights. Probably a dumb question but, once installed how are the lights switched ? Is there another switch that comes with the kit ? Or do they utilize the existing switches somehow ?

Mine came with a swith that you connect to left hand/side controls and has a switch for low and one for high. I like them really light up the night. Only problem which is not really a problem and truly nothing, I have HD tank bag and when I park or go full left turn the switches touch bag.
Also I installed them little tedious but not difficult and they work.:)

If you have a 24, there are options under the Ride Customization Settings (driving lights installed and fog lights installed). The fog lights run constantly and the driving lights only run when you have the low beams on. You don't need the installation kit, but you do need some one off parts. The installation instructions on the Daymaker lights on Harley's website detail this (they won't let me post a link because I'm a new member). I had mine dealer installed not knowing any of this, and they used the kit 🤑 The upside with the 24 is you don't have to remove the gas tank, so it looks like a super simple job.

I've got 24 year model and it does not have daylight option available, only fog light. Dealer say something locked in BCM for my VIN number (Canadian bike). The is a bummer, since I have four lights but able to use only two
