I swapped out my stock pipe for a TOCE pipe. I was on the fence between the TOCE & the Jekyll & Hyde pipe. I am happy with the TOCE. It’s LOUD! I bought the baffle to throw in (quick & easy) for days I want to tone it down a bit - which is hardly EVER! 😜

How loud is the TOCE? With and without the baffle?

Got a db meter on your phone?

The screaming eagle (HD pipe) is around 85-89 db , measured directly behind the bike, 5 feet off the ground, 12 foot from the tail light.

Burns Stainless. They make custom racing exhausts here in SoCal.

Working on getting this now. Just downloaded an app to the iPhone to do so.
I'm assuming those measurements are with the bike just idling? And is that in a garage or outside as I'm sure those conditions would probably make a difference in readings.
I will set up in my garage & measure my idle, then measure out in my driveway to see the difference. I’ll post pics shortly.

Outside, at idle. (The slow idle that the bike breaks into after it reaches temp and you've pulled the clutch).

I think the V&H is too loud, (never owned it, just heard it on a another bike) the HD screaming eagle is too quiet (but IS deep). The Jeckle and Hyde sounded good on its loudest setting 118- 125db but I feel like switching it back and forth from quiet to loud caused the bike not to run as well, so I sold it.

All opinions, of course. Data don't lie.

So I got a measurement on the Decibels with the TOCE pipe without the baffle. It was reading 90-95 at idle. When I throttled the bike it shot up to 120 @ the loudest.
This was also in my garage. I got a video of all this but can’t figure out how to upload it here. I’m going to try to find a way to put it on a cloud somewhere & post a link to it.

This is great! So it's a smidge louder than the HD SE but quiter than V&H and the top setting of J&H...

Excellent info! Thanks for getting it!

2 Video Links:
This one is a recording of the decibel meter measuring my bike idling with a couple throttle twists at the end…

After researching every pipe out there and weighing cost to sound and features, I went with Scorpion. IMO I think it sounds and looks the best and is 600 with no tax or shipping. It's a European company.
One deciding factor was it's popularity, or lack thereof. I didn't want a pipe that everyone else had and how I felt about V&H. I didn't want to go to an event and be one of the other 65% of people with the same pipe. Price is another thing. I think charging over $1,000.00 for a slip-on is a rip off. I remember back in the day a Yoshimura slip-on cost $350.00 for my Suzuki. Now slip-ons are $1,000.00? Part of having money is learning how to spend it wisely, and I won't spend $1,000.00 for a slip-on muffler. Especially if it doesn't even get rid of the resonator (Ahem, Akrapovic)

The V&H pipe is on my list, did you go for the stainless or black and do you think it needs a tuner or not? Thanks
I went with Black and I haven't checked with my dealership yet regarding a tuner. Last time I talked with my service manager about that, he told me HD didn't offer a tuner yet so even the Screaming Eagle pipe was just a plug and play
