My 24 came with the HD Sundowner as stock equipment. I find this seat quite comfortable. I also recently got the HD low seat. My inseam is 30 inches. The stock seat in the low position is fine most of the time. But sometimes when off road it’s nice to have the lower seat when stopped. Mostly so I can lean the bike far enough to deal with the POS kick stand. A potential problem with the low seat is the bend it forces my knees into. I have pegs from Black Dog on the bike. They’re 1/2” lower. I also have Touratech pegs that are 1” lower but I haven’t used them yet. I haven’t put enough miles on the low seat to have any input as far as it’s comfort. But I have a feeling that on long stretches of slab it’ll be hard on my knees.
Last year at Sturgis I talked to a few seat makers. They’re all expensive, but you get what you pay for. I doubt I’ll pull the trigger on any of them because so far the sundowner and the low seat both work fine for me.

What are your thoughts on the comparisons between the CVO, HD Sundowner, Stock, Corbin, Saddleman and Wunderlich seats. I am looking for a more comfortable seat than the stock PAS.
I have a 22 PAS and a 24 CVO PAS and have purchased some third party seats. The following seats that I have and used are: H-D PA normal and low seats, the HD CVO seat, Wunderlich seat (low), and Touratech comfort seat low. Note, that I have an inseam of 29" so, I have more interested in the low versions of the seats.

In terms of comfort, the CVO seat is very good, followed by the Wunderlich and then the Touratech seats. The HD low seat is thinly padded and soft so I get sore after 30-60min riding. I am currently using the Touratech seat on the CVO PAS and the Wunderlich on the 22 PAS. I 've put 10K miles on the Wunderlich seat and 1500 miles on the Touratech seats. I may go back to the CVO seat only because I do like its comfort (and look) at some point but will see.

hope this help.

I just got the cvo. No issues outside of the exhaust leg roast feature and the speedometer needs recalibration. Other than that the dealer refused to wire in a sound system... and other dealer issues. But that's that dealer. The bike is great. Glad I waited a few years. They fixed the radiator hose fitment issues and refined the 2024 a lot. It's just not obvious.

You should know the dealership had to order my owners manual. Told me the break in procedure is 3500 rpm and under for 500 miles. Rode 90 miles like that and it was painful. Got the pdf version the next day and said to keep under 7000. That's a big difference and contacted my dealer to inform the difference in what they represented. Hope that helps.
Wowwwww. I would imagine such low RPM on that engine for 500 miles would be more harmful than helpful. Never good to lug an engine. Glad you sorted that out before getting too far!

How far off is the speedo? Mine shows about 5% faster than GPS, but that's been the case with every bike I have owned.

As an update. Did 2500 miles in 14 days, the day after i bought it. No issues at all. Did 1st service as soon as i was home. Didnt use any oil, coolant, and didnt have to adjust the chain either.

The only issue is everyone in the club telling me it isnt a real harley😆.

Mind you, ive been saying that to the sportster lot for years.😆😆

All good banter.

I bought a 23 PA brand new a month ago and so far loving the bike .
congrats on your 24 . Please post photos and stories about your adventures on it

I just traded my 21 for a 24. I only have 168 miles on it so far.
My 21 got traded in on a 24 back in March and it was the best move I ever made. The 24 has a better feel to it than the 21 and the bike has been perfect so far. I only have around 2000mi on her because my wife has been sick and I've been doing my best to take care of Her, but I will be able to put some serious miles on the 24 soon hopefully.

Have had a 24 since December. Just over 6,000 miles (I have 2 other bikes that need love too!).
It has been a fantastic bike. One little issue at about 400 miles, apparently a loose wire to the rectifier. Other than that, the bike has been problem free and has been one of my favorites to date.

i bought a 2024 Pan-American special in April 2025 and it has been having a lot of electrical faults and issues:
a code for communication failure keeps setting and resetting: b116609c
while riding the speedometer stopped displaying any speeds for about 2 min while i was going at 60+MPH
c007700c- tire pressure error code while tire pressures are correct.
b231362c code on a Pan America indicates a BCM (Body Control Module) ride mode signal failure
a lean angle sensor error as well
another lean angle sensor error that caused it to go into limp mode for about 20 min

i have just hit 5000 miles, and am still having random electrical problems with it.

It’s under warranty? If so let the dealer sort it out first. Hope this helps! I feel for ya , that’s some aggravating stuff.

I have a '24, it's been flawless outside of having the display plug come undone with less than 200 miles... want to see how quick you can freak out a first time HD owner?

Right now it's deadlined due to trail damage, but it's actually relatively cheap to repair (about $600 for both, another 300 if I have the dealer put it back together) compared to what it would have cost for a new motor on a BMW (rock would have nuked the cylinder head) or all the side stuff on my Africa Twin which is like 2 grand :p

Need to hurry up and fix it though, I have the AT to ride but I like my offroad spaceship.
