I had a ‘22 PAs and now I have a ‘24 PAs. The ‘24 is a great bike. But if they’re all built overseas in the future, I doubt that I’ll get another one. I have a good job in the USA. I want people here (legally) to be able to buy the service I provide. Moving production to another country will have a detrimental effect on jobs here. I will not support it.

If anyone believes that this move is only for the ‘25 model year, you’re delusional. Do you recall that it wasn’t too long ago that HD stated that only bikes destined for overseas markets would be built overseas? Unsurprisingly, that turned out to be a lie.

One reason I bought a Pan Am is because it is USA /North America built. If it were from Thailand I would be much more heavily inclined to go with BMW. Or save lots of money and get a different Asian bike. H-D will rake in the greater margin based on lower production cost. If they passed on some savings and sold a PAS in the range of $15K there might be a big benefit for the consumer. Except those that paid over $20K for earlier models.

Not to lessen the impact, but they are only talking about motor production. The bike would still be assembled in the USA. Again, im hoping that HD makes good on their promise of only '25 model year rev max motors.

I believe it’s more than the motor. I did not write the following paragraph, it’s essentially a repost. But I believe it. I cannot find any mention of moving only motor production. It seems that they intend to move all production of all revmax powered bikes away from the country in which the brand originated.

A Harley-Davidson spokesperson said the company plans "to temporarily transition the production of its non-core Revolution Max powertrain-equipped models" to Thailand for the 2025 model year. The spokesperson said the new strategy “optimizes production capacity for Grand American Touring and other core product segments such as Softail and Trike motorcycles" at the York facility.

Why outsource to foreign workers the most critical component of the motorcycle; the engine? And leave the easiest low tech job of assembly to American workers? Uuuuh, what? Does that make sense?

The "Harley-Davidson spokesperson" statement reeks of marketing speak. Or worse Board of Director's BS to make a bad situation sound good. When sales are falling why do they need to “optimizes production capacity" for models that sound like they in declining sales?

It will all come down to how we vote this time around.

Pointing towards a politician is really not the answer. Check out this article (an opinion piece) from the WSJ about HD's tariff issues. I think its cut off (its paywalled) but you get the point.
Yeah I know this ain't the place/forum and not trying to go back n forth but actually it is!
Can you name one thing where politics/politicians are not involved?
That's all, ✌

Same with me. Now have a 24 CVO from a 22. Will not buy again from Harley. This was my 4th Harley.

I own a 23.
If it had already been made overseas, I would have bought another Super T... I chose to buy American this time.
I do not believe anything coming from HD as long as all the Lefty's are running the company.
Also if I had learned all the facts Robbie Starbuck busted open I would have never bought this bike.
