Mounted a Rigg Gear bag onto my Pan America. 1/2 the cost of the HD tank bag, with the added benefit of easy access to filling the fuel tank. Haven't really used it yet, just a quick 10 miles up and back, but seems like it will work.

Looks good. Kinda dislike the idea of it being permanent mount, but rarely took tank bag off another bike I had and you know nobody is going to jack it. I need something since the Harley stuff will take weeks or months to come in.
I usually don't have anything of value in my tank bag anyways; typically snacks, sun block and maps.

I’m wondering if you could so something similar to this with magnets. I’d rather not drill through, but I hate using straps.

That’s quite a cool idea…….got me to thinking.stick strong magnets under the centre console, and then May be use a magnetic bag??

I think it will work. I got some magnets off of amazon and they held pretty tight through the hand guard plastic.
