On a ride up the Natchez Trace Parkway, I was stopped a rest stop and a guy in Ram dually asked me "what kind of fuel milage are you getting?". I responded that I personally had never tracked mine with any accuracy but a YouTuber I follow called "Cletus McFarland" has the same bike and has tracked his at or around 50mpg. He said, "that sucks, my Street Glide gets better milage".. I tried to look disappointed and said, "well, mine has better navigation!".. (A lie of course).. ;)

Just kidding, @Chase_N , I gave him the proper name for your channel.😂

A few comments or questions from my last rides:

- Idiot 1: What brand is that? -> Me: "It is a Harley Davidson" -> Idiot 1: Ah it is the new one!! -> Me: "yes they made the same model since 1903 and now there is a new one"

- Idiot 2: What bike is that? -> Me: "It is a Harley Davidson" -> Idiot 2: Why is it yellow? -> Me: "They make only one bike of each color, and yellow was all that was left"

- Idiot 3: What bike is that? -> Me: "It is a Harley Davidson" -> Idiot 3: It is that electric one right? (when he was looking at the exhaust) -> Me: " uhhhh no, my wife breast-feeds it every hour"

Stopped at the HD shop for an oil filter today.. When I came out, some guy was kneeling in front of my bike. He said he read on a forum that "all of the Pan Americas have crooked frames"...

I replied, "mine was bent to the right but I crashed it on the left and it straightened it out. Guess I'm lucky."

Yesterday:

Two Nashville police motor officers approached me at the gas station. One said: "I could see that bike being useful for us.". They asked about top speed, of course I said: "I don't know, never had it over 79".. 😁

Police Pan America would be cool to see.
135 mph on mine, without the cases.
Cruise control holds up to 100 mph.

I think I've actually seen 115-ish.. But I wasn't going to tell the cops that!

However, setting the cruise at 100mph requires testicular mass that I apparently lack..

A familiar statement from an older gentleman today. Of course, he started with noting that I was "a true rider" for being out riding with temps in the upper 30's. But when he heard the bike running he said, "that doesn't even sound like a Harley".. I chuckled to myself remembering that exact statement made about my 18 Fat Bob. I'm not sure if he was comparing it to a Milwaukee 8, an Evolution or something else.

I replied, "well, it doesn't sound like an old Harley! But this IS what a Harley sounds like." Then I took off, pulling a wheelie for as far as I dared.

I decided to ride my Trail 125 to the beer store yesterday.. A guy pointed at it and said "I think you need a bigger bike." (I'm 6'5", 260lbs)

I replied, "The big bikes scare me.".

A guy once said, "you look a little big for that 125".. I replied, "you should see me on your mom!"
