You may think my words are BS, but selling <480 units worldwide in Q4 2024 says otherwise.

All you do is shit on the PAS, every single post, while not even owning one anymore. You are like cancer trying to make sure that PAS fails. Just leave and enjoy your GS.

Well - I have nothing to say - I was called this morning and told that the ST was not on the truck that arrived last night! My first thought was "bummer" but then I thought "only one"? I called another dealer close by to see if they had any and was told "we have one on order". Again, "one'??

I am not in a hurry and looking forward to the next call that it is in stock. I really am interested in this bike!

That's the problem. People don't want parts bin specials. Component sharing is necessary and expected, but not to the degree that HD implements it. You may disagree, but HD sales (and stock) is tanking while Triumph, Honda, BMW, etc are all enjoying record sales and profits.

You pretty much summed it up for me. Somebody would only pick the ST because it wears the Harley nameplate, not because it's best in class. Every point you made is beaten by the S1000XR and other rivals. It may be good for a Harley, but it ain't good.

The select dealers that will carry rev-max bikes are only taking small inventory. They don't sell well and end up costing the dealer in floor-plan interest. If that's not a red flag, then I don't know what is.

Dealers are only ordering 1 because they wouldn't be able to sell 2. Look at offerings from other manufacturers.

Thought I would follow up with my post above. I am a little surprised with this forum thread. It is a Pan America Forum. Hopefully, input will come from guys (or gals) who own and enjoy their Pan Am. If I am not riding solo, the few guys I travel with own and have owned every brand and model over many years and "well seasoned". At the end of a day or week, we have all enjoyed every bike and every ride. That's what it is all about for me - and them. I am lucky.

I hope to hear how others are doing with their Pan American bikes. Somewhere along the line, I mentioned how much I have enjoyed mine and looking forward to riding the ST. I hope to hear from others on this forum after they get a chance to ride the ST and follow up.

Looking forward to warmer weather and many hours of safe riding. Life can be short, guys. Enjoy and be happy with whatever you and others are able to ride. My 2 cents worth.

Respectfully, I would completely disagree. The S1000XR is in the same class as the ST and shares the same starting price. Both are upright sport tourers with the same intended purpose. The S1000XR does everything better from a power perspective, acceleration, weight, lean angle, technology, reliability, etc. It's a very good seller for BMW and objectively, is a substantially better value than the Pan Am. The Yamaha Tracer 9GT+ is also in the same class and beats the ST by most standards while being several thousand $ cheaper.

Fallow up on some of mine as well as others who have been posting our ride reports, there are far more guys, and gals that are on here that post positive experiences and awesome rides than the negative Nancy's.
Remember, it's still a new bike. My '17 RGS M-8 went through 4 motors......complete motor rebuilds in less than 40k miles. That's 10k miles per motor. It gave me more trouble than my '22 PAS.
I just can't listen to a guy that dosent even own a Pan Am and take them for anything else except a troll.
Don't feed the trolls.

Rocket, I can tell you with 100% certainty that a select few HD DevOps lurk on this forum, HDforums.com, and several of the Facebook forums to gauge product perception. Back in 2022, I was very vocal (and respectful) regarding a "vin error" issue that I had after a BCM update. An HD dev ended up reaching out and I ultimately let them use my bike as a testbed for what eventually became infotainment software update LM75.1355.220221031. Long story short, "complaining", or as you might call it, "trolling", can yield a meaningful resolution. I still talk with that software engineer who has now moved onto other opportunities in the automotive space. Positive ride reports are nice to read, but don't contribute anything to model improvement or refinement.

Panamfan123 - nicely put forward and I agree. I have joined several forums (Heritage, General HD, etc. Yamaha, and Honda. But all of the H-D forums seem to include more negative input that has no value. I like nothing better than maintenance on my bikes (to a lessor degree, lawn mowers, tractors, and my wife's Ridgeline!!) - I digress! Contributing to improvement should be all of our goals to make manufacturers pay some attention and hopefully listen. After all, we are buying the product and hopefully doing our own research for a decision and happy about it. I felt good about buying an early Pan America - I knew my dealership would support me through any teething issues and I support Harley Davidson because of who they are and have been. Those that support BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, etc. are as dedicated as I / we are to H-D. Constructive negativity is good but outright slamming H-D because one apparently has a beef, just has no value and a waste of time.
Being from KY, I am a Bourbon guy and after a few, I read the forums. That may sway my input tonight but I look for help in decisions and experienced input. I may have ventured into the wrong forum but will report after my ST ride. Those that might not like a positive report - See ya!
