I went Sunday morning to Frankfort KY and didn't end up getting "the dog" 😂 what I did get is a lot of smiles and a noticeable increase in performance and less engine noise than it always has had , 2 things I would like to mention is a increase in low to midrange and a little less than expected top end increase horsepower however it's definitely a rocket ship and the fuel mileage is around the same but slightly better with the cruise set at 80mph , by no means do I mean it doesn't have top end power it definitely isn't noticeable to someone who doesn't ride around with burst of triple digits regularly 😀 but she climbs near 150 effortlessly at around 8750rpm - 9000rpm on the Mexican highway ofcourse 😳
A bit confused. I thought the PanAmerica was electronically limited to 135mph. I know you can "unlock" that with a tune, but you mentioned that you will get the tune done in April.

Stoked to know how you got up to 150mph!

Worth the $600 in your opinion?
For the peice of mind knowing the bike doesn't have a airbox design that is solely dependent upon the backwards airflow through a snorkel tube that can plug up rather quickly and slow down or cut off air flow in certain conditions was reason enough for me , then add it the slight performance bump in the equation sealed the deal for me , and the slight increase in low to midrange would probably be helpful to some mainly trail riding who could also put a "rainsock" over it but for me 90% on road it's a game changer for my mind and soul .. so yes sir I would buy one every year for $600 if I had too 🤪

I put a tune from Fuel Moto on it with my Dynojet power vision for the exhaust I have and for the airfilter system I just installed and set the rev limiter to 9000rpm and set the road speed to maximum which is 222mph I believe lol , I am taking it to get a Dyno Tune to maximize everything I can for reliability and safety of the motor my friend

These pictures are with the tank on and looking in from the front over the top triple tree.

Pretty sure he said, and the photos show, that he was doing this to a Pan America.

After putting the 20 tooth front sprocket and the 46 tooth rear sprocket on it dramatically changed my riding experience on the road, it's climbing near 160mph by the time 8600 - 8750rpm is achieved in 6th gear just don't think I would want to hold it there for long periods of time because of the slight uncertainty of the suspension and or my selections of the suspension modes yet , still learning the ride mode stuff , I just leave it in Sport mode and turn er loose , I'm not a bike tech guy with fancy pants cameras yet but will be rigging something up soon to get it all on video just to shut the "factory warranty guys" (mine won't do that so yours can't either) people up 🤣 I only ride 3or4 different bikes and it depends on the occasion 😀 but definitely love it and would definitely but it again every year if I had too , wish I could explain it better for those who are fighting with themselves over worrying about a warranty if they put one on but I never have let anyone tell me what I can do with my motorcycle lol , if it breaks I'll fix it myself 🤷🏻‍♂️

Badass, man!
How did you unlock the speed governor?

Just ordered the High Flow intake (better hurry b!t€hes! - Only one left in stock!).😉

Waiting to hear back from Fuel moto on the power vision I’ll need. 💪🏻😝🤘🏻

Thanks for your kick ass post DOCIHMC!! 👊🏻

I can’t wait to try these upgrades out on our desolate Utah roads! And UNLEASH the caged PAS power!

It is a different bike now , with all the above mentioned changes I made

Decated head pipe

Vance and hines hi-output adventure 450 exhaust system

Fxr division TPJ CONCEPTS HI-FLOW PERFORMANCE AIRCLEANER SYSTEM

The hell with the fuel mileage tune from FUEL MOTO for my Dynojet power vision pv-3b tuner

20 tooth front sprocket and 46 tooth rear sprocket

Being the combination I am currently running and really loving it my friend..

Still saving up the cash for the actual Dyno tune - travel and lodging expenses for when I get it all dialed in at the Dyno shop , then atleast I will have a Dyno sheet and hopefully a few videos of the Dyno process and more importantly a copy of the final Dyno tune on my Power vision tuner that can be saved and shared to others who want a copy 🤪

This is great. I’m really glad you’re pioneering the want for more power on this platform!

I recently put the fxr division intake and screamin eagle exhaust on my 2023 pan america. I noticed the exhaust change seemed to give it more low end torque, ie less stalling on take off. The intake then changed the sound of the motor. It definitely sounds better with the intake. I then took it to Farrow East HD for dyno tuning. Here's the sheet they presented me with... thoughts?

I have no idea on the Dyno numbers yet. I know the screaming eagle exhaust and the cat still being in can drastically hold the airflow up on getting out and making maximum power and the Dealership most likely has to stay within EPA regulations with the tuning they can provide but still them numbers are not bad at all at rear wheel power considering the fuel air ratio is still around 14 , mine are (supposedly) around 12.8 🤷🏻‍♂️ , bet it's a blast to ride regardless just do to the changes you have made 🤪

Welcome to the forum from central Ky my friend.

Does decatting really help that much? I am planning to wait until after the warranty is up before doing that. The screamin eagle exhaust is straight through, unlike the stock exhaust.

The changes have taken a great bike and made it awesome. The only reason I took it to get it dynoed was due to watching dc cycle racing's tuning video. With a fab28 exhaust he took that bike from 133hp to 146.

I just wanna go fast like Ricky Bobby 🤣 I've never been able to leave anything alone and always wanted more out of it 🙃 I am learning as I go with this Pan America thing and have definitely followed in the footsteps of multiple forum members here and took their suggestions in consideration and then just push it a bit further with disregard to the naw-sayers and the warranty worry warts and see what happens 😃 I honestly think that even if I completely destroy this motor trying to figure it out I will just fix it and keep on doing what I do 🤪

Thanks for the vote of confidence my friend 😎

Any combustion motor is just a air pump basically that runs on gas in our case, so the more air you can get in and out efficiently is more power you can expect to get from it , any I mean any type of restrictions you have from like catalyst or air filters or exhaust can directly change your performance 😉

And DC CYCLE is the one going to be doing my Fine Tuning Dyno tune if not Fuel Moto 😎
