Just a simple question, I can't find mention of where the mounts and cases are made for the Pan Am, as in country of origin.

I was told they were mad mu SHAD. They are in Spain.
I am not 100% sure but I think Shad makes the sport cases.

Yep Shad does the side cases. I never owned a set of them, but my friend did and they were not the best.
Ive had no issue with mine at all.
I took the locks out and greased them.
Very happy with my set.

What type grease did you use and where did you put it? I have removed the lock system once before and would be willing to again.
General lock grease.
I had a bag left over from some old bmw variocase locks.
Took all tumblers and springs out.
Greased the lock barrel, then reassembled. Also put a smeat where the end of the lock sits in the case.

I saw this in the assembly instructions...mine are still new, so I haven't had any problems yet. I like the fact that the sport cased require no additional hardware for mounting...bike still looks clean when the cases are removed!
