Alright my friends, I'm going to say it, and I mean ZERO disrespect.. But so far, it looks like this thing won't actually do anything except for reset the date for the brake fluid reminder.
Absolutely 💯 and clear and read codes too , I was able to test things like , seeing the amount of brake pressure I have in the master cylinders and calipers when applying the brakes and test turn signals and clutch lever pull etc , and it works on my 2009 f150 and my Ole lady's 2008 accord through the obdll function 😀, still playing around with it until I fell down 🤪

It's not the cat's meow but it purs to me sometimes 🤦🏻‍♂️ I'm sure as we bitch whine and moan enough to Ancel they may add some more HOT FUNCTIONS that applies to PAS but for now atleast I don't have to go to HD and pay for some kid to reset my reminder light and bleed my brakes for me 🫡 and would meet up with anyone who wants their wrench reset say around the Walmart parking lot in Columbia KY or possibly Glasgow ky for the price of a sugar free redbull 🤪😎

Is it worth a stack 🤔 to most absolutely not, but to me for the above mentioned it's priceless 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

I would not spend the $$$ again unless like our cases where the Pan America is not the only bike we mess with lol , but for the guy who only has the Pan America or maybe another Harley-Davidson that is 2009+ it's not going to make them happy unless they like spending money for very few perks 😉

Today I was working on A 2022 Honda ADV150. The bike wasn't detecting the key fob and needed the brakes bled, (milky fluid with a 17 percent water content). Since I don't have a scanner that can activate the ABS module, I bled it "old school" and then moved the sensor off of the tone ring and took it for a ride. Every time I hit the brake, I could hear and feel the ABS kicking in. So I took it back to the garage and bled it again. I repeated the ABS trickery ride and measured water content.. Less than 1 percent. Good to go. Wish I had a scanner.

I'm on the lookout for a universal unit. I've got high hopes for the MT700. IF it could activate and bleed the PA, I would buy it.

I have three different scanners that the Chinese manufacturers claim will do things that they won't.

This is my simple analysis for my purchase. :geek:

Cost $899.99. Cost of taking Pan America to dealer 1 hour away on boring roads :(, sit for another 2 to 3 hours at dealership  to have ABS service, $300. Three trips zeros out the cost of the Ancel unit placing no value on my lost days.

Benefits beyond turning off the yellow wrench
1. Ancel does much more in terms of diagnostic information for current benchmark data and future diagnostics for when the bike decides to move off the benchmarks. Possible determination of problems before something breaks and useful in diagnosing developing problems. Very useful if I can provide H-D tech some history of the problem versus "it broke".
2. Ancel most likely will not sit still and stop enhancements. Future capabilities will increase the current benefit picture, hopefully.
3. Complements my Autel unit that I use for diagnosing my cars & truck.

You are correct. It is not perfect, but in my case it was well worth the cost and now I can have fun learning more about this machine. :) Or, is that a frustration factor?

Anyone know if the screen on the Ancel can be projected onto a large monitor?

So in theory could I have been activating the ABS system when I was messing around with it running on the center stand and rear wheel turning slightly and feeling it in the front brake lever and hearing it because of that 🤔 , that is something I will have to try to duplicate because "me" personally I will put that mutha sucka in gear with front wheel securely fastened on my bike lift with the rear raised or on roller attachment that came with my lift and bleed manually several times 🤔🤓😎

Ok, so you were able to bleed the brakes by activating the ABS module?

What benchmarks have you recorded so far?

Seriously NOT trying to poke holes. I want one. I'm trying to justify the purchase. (As if NOT having to deal with some smart-a$$ service manager at the stealership isn't worth 1000 bucks).

I tried with both the engine running and not running.

Did you have a wrench light actually on when you reset it? I went in and reset my date, and the scanner said it did it, but I'm wondering if it actually did anything, or will it still pop up this November when it is due. I tried to reset the date to 2 years ago to see if I can force the wrench light on, but it didn't do it.
Based on what Mike tried.. (Setting the date to turn the wrench ON), I am not positive it will reset the wrench OR activate ABS bleed.

I was able to manually turn the wrench on, the first time it didn't work because the date on my bike was wrong from the last time I had the battery disconnected.
I didn't try to turn it back off yet, but I'm assuming it will do so now.

I'm waiting on ANCEL tech support to get back to me and verify if this will or will not do an ABS bleed. I've not been able to get it to do that.

I'll put together a video with everything it can and cannot do on the Pan America, but if it cannot do and ABS bleed and ANCEL does not have an update on the way to enable that, I'm likely going to return it, haven't fully decided yet.

Thanks Mike!

I really want a nice scanner for the PA, but just turning the reminder wrench off won't justify the price for me.

Hey, I wonder though.. The date you are changing, is it today's date or a trigger date? Is there a way to set the trigger out beyond the life of the bike? 50 years from now or something like that? I mean, I check water content every service.. I don't really need a reminder.

You are setting the date that you completed the service, which cannot exceed today's date.. and then the reminder is set to come on two years after that date.

No, never said it would. Have not tried it because it is not needed at this stage on my bike. Only said I could reset the yellow wrench ABS indication.

I would be happy to share those as I develop the data base. (y)

Right now I'm talking with some engineers to determine what they believe, rather than just what I believe, to be important in determining the general health of the bike once it is in the field. I see this just as important as the annual oil analysis I have done. I'm estimating it might be later this month.

And this is why I'm kicked off Facebook and probably here soon too 🙃 😅 🤣

Sorry if my post are misleading in any way, my brain has me type things wrong sometimes and could lead someone down the wrong path unintentionally 😕

I promise I would not lie to make me look good or to be right and sometimes I have to re-read and edit my post and comments 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am that friend who would go the extra mile for someone else tho , I have said in several different post that I'm not really tech savvy but will figure it out if it can be figured out 🤔

Hopefully I haven't caused any burdens to some of y'all, it wasn't my intentions 👍

My mind is wired differently than most and have a few different personalities 🤣

Be careful getting data from engineers. Bunch of OCD pricks.. 🤣 🤣 🤣 You're digging into what we call "predictive maintenance", far above and beyond preventative maintenance.

Ever heard the expression: "When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail"? Well, when you are an engineer, everything looks like a large hadron collider.

I look forward your posts! Carry on!

Nah man!! You're good! There's a lot of info on this thread.. I just wanted to keep stuff clear for those that don't bother to READ every post.

As of right now, the ONLY confirmed functionality of this scanner is that it WILL reset the two-year service reminder.. (Little wrench).
It will also display some diagnostic and test data.
It WILL NOT (at the time of this post) enable ABS bleed.
Claims from the company cannot be verified.
Other functionalities are being tested.

Mike, how are you contacting support? I received my unit Friday night. When I went to register it, getting message 881: The product serial number has been registered and it will not proceed with the registration. My unit out of the box doesn't have the Moto Diag nor the Service Icon on it. Did yours have it prior to registering and doing a software update?

I suspect that this unit was registered by someone else and returned. I haven't been able to get a hold of support through email, the contact page, chat on their website, nor the Team Viewer app on the unit. Pretty frustrated right now. My bike is due the 2year brake bleed and was hoping to test this functionality out.

I emailed the support email. I got a reply back the next morning asking for my proof of purchase, which I provided, but then got an autoreply that they are out of office until June 3rd, so hopefully I get some info back tomorrow.
