Hey,
I have had one demo and going for another tomorrow. I like the bike but the number of complaints about electronics glitches is making my nervous. Is it just “you find what you search for” or are you guys have problems with the bike? Also, can CarPlay be modified to use it on the bike. Thanks in advance for the wisdom!

First, I'm in no way trying to tell you what or not to do! Especially with a purchase this size. Just my .02.

I personally don't know anyone else with a PA, just me. Yes I've read probably samething as you have.
Not discounting anyone (as I said don't know them) but people are more quickly to write/report negatives than positives! Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just how it is. I also utilize rating/reviews when I look at something I wanna buy especially when I don't know much about item.

I can say as I have in other posts, I love my PA and now with ~2500 happy smiling miles on mine and I pray many more to come!

Also, (stated this in other posts) my buddy has the beemer and he had issues that took several months and many miles to different dealers (three states) before it was finally resolved and they've been making it 40 years!

Of course if I was still in the market for an adv bike I too would be hesitant especially after reading some of the forums.....

So, I feel for individuals having problems/issues and I thank God I haven't had any. I am glad I bought mine when I did, looking forward to riding the mid atlantic BDR this year. Again love my PA and weather going turn soon and I'm ready to put more happy happy happy miles on it.✌

Oh no clue (can't answer) bout carplay.

Thanks for your info. Honestly the beemer isn’t even in the running. No way I buy a bike with that limited dealership number and over 2 hours away. I have a super tenere that is well sorted but getting long in the tooth. Probably trade my Roadking on the pan am cause at 6’6” I’m just more comfortable on an adv bike.

I have experienced a few of the hiccup's that are par for the course for a completely new first year bike. Would I do at again, hell yes. I love the PA and am looking forward to many miles with her. I think the dealers weren't properly trained on the bike because of Covid and doing the training on the computer is not the same as hands on at the factory. The first time the mechanic saw a PA was when he was taking mine out of the crate. Good luck in your search!

Hey, I get you, I really get you. But I did trade my CVO SG in last week on a Pan Am! Some have had recurring issues and others have had nothing but grins and riding. As far as interface through the bike, it is my understanding that you can only use the HD app to connect to the bike. The app interfaces with the bike and can be used to control music via buttons on the right handle bar or put up their gps screen on the bike. It is optional. Lots of guys running separate gps and you can still play music from any app on your phone direct to Bluetooth speakers in your helmet, just the controls on the bike won't change anything, have to use other options for pause, play and volume. Hope this helps. Can't wait to ride mine more!

If you sync both your phone and bluetooth headset to the bike the controls will work on the bike. I'm not a fan of the Harley App and don't use, so not sure how the bike audio controls react if you have the app open and synched.

So, I’ve had my PA for a month and have loved it. But… I’m having those electronics issues. Mechanic worked on it when I brought it in for its 1000 mile service, but they told me to keep an eye on it. Happened again, and I dropped it off again. So far, they seem committed to making it right. Seems like new model glitches that they’re working out. I’m ok with that if they get to a fix and I can take it on a long trip this summer.

I got mine October 6 2022, 2 weeks ago and I put on 3,400 kms in a short time. A few annoying glitches came on , ghost light that the mechanic can’t find why it is on. I has the shifter of the transmission getting in a freewheeling position , transmission stuck in any gear but won't move. But , in the last 4 days, a lot of mileage and no bugs. The dealer is looking into the transmission issue but I am riding the bike and loving it.

purchased my 22 PAS IN December, now 1100 miles later no problems. Don’t read all the whiners and complainers that post to the forums. Great bike, look forward to spring and summer to really enjoy a real hot rod

I have 2022 model, no electrical issues what so ever. Things like heat from the radiator fan and pipes can be mitigated. I've only owned Harleys, so like any other HD, plan on spending an extra 10% for add-ons. I suggest getting the Special model. The few extras are well worth it.
The bike is a beast, it's capabilities are extreme. You will have to get use to the motor sounds ... you can't change it. If you have a bagger and it's paid for, keep it.
