My "Harley" extended service plan is expiring soon. I purchased a two year ESP back in '23 and it turned out to be be just for "peace of mind". I only had one small claim. But since there is still a bunch of stuff that I don't have the scanners/computers to accomplish that could go wrong, I am doing some shopping.

Things to consider:

1. Length of the ESP. I kinda wish I would have sprung for a longer ESP back in 23, but anything over 2000 bucks is a lot of money for a bike that I might get 10k for if I traded in.
2. I am at 45,000 miles.
3. My local shop, for some BS reason isn't offering the HD sponsored ESP. The one they offer is a Generic "power sports" ESP. The cost is 1,700 for two years.
4. I am looking at a place called "discount ESP" that a guy on YouTube recommended.

Looking for suggestions for ESP's you have used and trust or any that I should steer clear of.

You haven't answered our phone calls or returned mail, we've been trying to get ahold of you!😀

On serious note, Im following to see potential options also in near future.

THIS is exactly why I'm not Googling!!! I want some "word of mouth".

be sure to read the fine print on coverage limits. I know the HD ESP limits repairs to the current resale value of the bike. For those of us with 21s, that means we are limited to about a $6K repair.
Should be fine for needing a fork or shocked replaced, but doubtful for covering an engine failure.

I've read that. Not sure about the 6k? Is that a majority percentage of value? What do they do in one of those instances? I assumed they would pay the max they would (6k) and stiff me for the rest... Not like they would just stiff me for it all right?

1850 sounds high for 2 years. Not sure on current prices, but 3 years ago my dealer had the 3 year ESP (actual 3 year, advertised 5 year) priced around $1,500.
They may be dinging me for milage. I'm at nearly 46k.

Costs from 2023:

1 year $934 w/ Wheel and tire $1299
2 year $1189 w/ Wheel and tire $1559
3 year $1514 w/ Wheel and tire $1894

Costs for the same bike in 2025:

1 year NO LONGER AVAILABLE
2 year $1850 w/ Wheel and tire $2100
3 year $2350 w/Wheel and tire $2600

(This is all the "Harley" warranty provided by CNA National.)

Not sure if it's a market change or they saw me coming.

I started saving $100 a month when I got my 2021 in February of 2024 , I got 3 years then for around $2000 with Rim and tire or he called it FENDER TO FENDER 🤷🏻‍♂️ but he told me that in January of 2027 I should renew and I could get another 3 years for around $2500 🤦🏻‍♂️

Is your extended warranty already expired? I wonder if that is the used bike pricing, but if your ESP is still current, I though you can extend it at new bike pricing.
No, it's in place until 6-22-25. He said even if it was expired, that the only repercussion would be a 300 mile waiting period before I could make a claim. So the bike would have to go 300 miles before they would cover anything.

Yeah, my guy used the same "fender to fender" statement.

It looks like you are in line with me on the pricing. He said I could get a 3-year with wheel and tire for 2600..

If this was an EVO or an M8 that I could yank apart myself I wouldn't even worry about a warranty at 46k. But I can't even bleed the brakes or swap out a damaged hand control module without the dealer. A thousand bucks seems to be the minimum baseline for just about anything that can happen.

Maybe I just skip the warranty and put the 1850 in a savings account that earns interest. After all, two years ago I spent 1200 on an ESP and only had one repair, that would have cost me 200 bucks. So I technically wasted 1000...

Yeah, when I bought my ESP told myself "Well, I just paid $1500 to guarantee I'm not going to have any major issues for the next 4 years!" :D
