Yesterday and today in literally the exact same parking spot at my local mini Mart, the bike stalled as I went to pull away. Yesterday it popped loud once when I attempted to restart, then started fine the second attempt. Today it just cranked and cranked until I turned the ignition off. This happened several times. I then took my keys and walked away for a minute, then tried again. This time it started, but the engine was making the most horrific, loud racket I had ever heard it make, by a significant margin. I shut it down thinking it jumped time and sat there in disbelief for a few minutes.

Finally I decided "it's under warranty, it's going to take me home whether it wants to or not." And restarted it.... And the engine sounded totally normal... ??????... Loud (normal loud) but not obscenely loud and huffing like it did last time. Power felt normal on the ride home as well.

My only codes were some nonsense about hydraulics and something else.

I was certain I was going to find a code for a crank position sensor judging by the behavior and the fact that the fuel pump primed as normal, but I'm not seeing it. Any ideas?

2022 PAS, 8800 miles.

Could be hydraulic lifter bled down or cam sensor problem, wiring, gremlin 🤔

Hope you get it figured out 🙏 gonna research them codes a little bit when I get a chance 😞

The issue came up again, this time I knew enough to click the button once more to read the actual code. P037400C . It makes it seem like I forgot how to use a clutch. The entire time I've owned this bike I've stalled out organically maybe 2-3 times in some weird off road situations. I've now stalled out 3 times in one week on flat pavement when trying to leave. It's an embarrassing failure because I start to let off the clutch and it just stalls like I'm a brand new rider.

That being said, it seems like it happens right as the RPMs begin to dip when I'm leaving casually. If I rev it and slip the clutch like I'm trying to score a holeshot, no issues. Don't feel like launching the thing every time I leave a stop sign or parking lot.

Only code list I have access too with a number that's close

Crank position sensor, some have unplugged it cleaned with electrical cleaners and plug back in and prolonged the issue or fixed the issue 🤔, I'd start with that if it was me 👀

My 21 popped same P037400C code twice, and wouldn't start. Both stalls were my fault for running out of fuel. Dash read 1/8th of a tank or so / 48 miles of range. Added a splash, turned off/on to try and purge any air. Still would not start. I had to leave off and move the key away for a few minutes, fired up normally after that. Chalked it up to a quirky fuel gauge, now I only trust my Garmin fuel reminders. Used to read spot on, I think my tune might have thrown it off somehow.
