My name is Kevin and I live in Leon Springs TX. Been riding something with two wheels for over 45 years now and have owned many Harleys, most recently a Road Glide. While I’m new to my PAS I’m not new to ADV riding and have owned a couple GSA’s as well as a Super Tenere.

Just picked up a vivid black bone stock 2021 Special with 2,600 miles. I’m super excited to ride the piss out of this bike and to learn all about it as I do all my own wrenching.

That said, anyone know where I can get my hands on a paper or digital copy of an owners manual as my bike is a repo and doesn’t have one. I finally had to Google it after looking for the battery for 15 minutes and didn’t think to look in the front of the skid plate…… 😳

Welcome to the forum from south central Ky, I bought a paperback oem off of ebay for around $125 there is a guy on there also selling enlarged copied versions in a 3 ring binder for around $90 , also digital copies for less than that , but I'm sure someone will chime in here to help you with a link or something to a online digital copy 😀

Is link to 3ring binder guy I buy from because it's larger print for me to see

Sorry for the post about a SERVICE MANUAL 😬 I just re-read your post and see 👀 that you are wanting a OWNERS manual 🤦🏻‍♂️ they are on ebay as well and a lot cheaper than the service manual 😀

Here is a link for a paper owner manual and a thumb drive service manual both together for less than $100

That’s a helluva deal and much better than I was finding! Much appreciated sir!

OK, after trailering the bike home from Houston yesterday, went out to start it today and she was dead. Started and ran fine yesterday. Today all lights come on, display comes on and looks normal, shows 12.6v, and you can hear the fuel pump prime, but the starter never engages……I failed to put it in transport mode or keep the fob close to the bike during the 4 hour trip home, so I’m sure that security going bonkers sucked down the battery.

So went to HD and purchased a new OE battery, but same symptoms……

Dont get it and this really pisses me off. I’ve read the Pan America horror stories but figured WTF let’s give it go. Now I’m doubting that decision…. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow and we’ll see how this turns out but me thinks it’s about to get expensive……

Check key fob battery also lol I say it every time whether it's right or wrong 😅 😂
I replaced that too just for shits and giggles…..

I kept the new HD battery on my tender all night just to make sure it was fully charged, but still had the same no crank no start problem this morning. So dropped it off an hour ago and the Service Writer said he’d never seen this problem on the PA. But he also appeared to be about 16 lol so that doesn’t surprise me….

I read a thread on here last night from a couple years ago and dude was also on a ‘21 and had the same symptoms and it turned out to be a bad starter solenoid. But I also read shit on other threads about bad BCM’s, software updates, starter clutches, etc. so who knows really. I just didn’t want to keep throwing money at it so figured I’d take it to the dealer. Also had like 8 different RCM and LCM and general codes, all of which were pointing to low voltage and lack of communication with certain modules. I had batteries on and off and disconnected all day yesterday so who knows……..

Impatiently waiting but it’ll probably be Tuesday before they know anything the service writer warned me……..
