Hello,

I have PA 2021 and I have updated the software to 2024 vesion (51456370_20240322)but have many issues after, black screen, high rev, etc.
By the chance anybody have original sw version 5.1288.2 20211217.

I did not have any issue with the old sw, just wanted to updated to the latest one but that was a big mistake.

I greatly appreciate anybody help,

Goran

I like this one , heard the new one as you installed takes away the ability to clear codes when they arise and cause some other issues if the other ecms doesn't have the latest updates by the dealership as well 😐

The version I use I believe came out December of 2023 , I downloaded it on my 2021 PAS in February of 2024 and it's been flawless so I will not worry about the newer software updates ;)

I have the version you are looking for uploaded to my google drive. Will need your contact info to share the file with you so you can access it. It is 119MB. I have a copy of every Infotainment release software since day one. I also have a 2021 Pan Am. The latest couple of Infotainment versions requires the BCM be upgraded to the latest version which has to be done at the dealer. The BCM software has to be 13.40 or higher to run the last couple of Infotainment releases, otherwise you will get errors and erratic operation.

@CrewDawg @DOCIHMC I’ve messaged you previously Dawg and you’ve been super helpful but I have another question……..

I just got my 21 PAS back from the dealer yesterday where they replaced a bad BCM. Since there’s no way for me to see the software version installed on this new BCM, and I forgot to ask the technician who installed it, man I hate to assume, but am I safe to assume the new BCM is running at least version 13.40……?

I just checked on the bike and infotainment is Software Part Number / Revision 5.1169.0 20210202

As I downloaded from you, I want to install the LM7_5138065_20230911 infotainment software as the general consensus seems to say that it’s bug free, reliable, and still allows one to clear codes.

So am I good to proceed with the 911 update or should I wait and call my dealer when they open on Tuesday? Do you know if my current software version indicates I have at least 13.40 in the BCM….? What happens if I do update to 911 and its not compatible with the BCM….?

Sorry for more questions but I’m just gun shy and do not want to lock this thing up and have to take it back to the %^* + dealership. Motorcycle software stuff is all new to me…….

It shouldn't allow you to do it if not compatible I believe 🤔 not 100 on that though, I know the newest version that everyone trys or has done at dealership and they probably have to update everything at that time, is your bike shock on screen blinking green or yellow I believe you won't have any trouble, but not 100 on that either, my 2021 hasn't gotten any BCM updates since 2023 I do know that and I was able to do the 911 version 😉

I would assume if the dealer installed a new BCM, it would have the latest SW version. As far as I know, there hasn't been another update for BCM software since 13.40. Without having access to the digital tech tool, the only way to confirm would be to talk to the dealer - preferably the tech that did the replacement and ask. One would have to think that they would update it to the latest when they installed it. If you load the newer Infotainment SW with a BCM version older than 13.40, it will set a U04000 diagnostic code. I didn't have any problems going back to an older Infotainment software version when I loaded a newer version prior to 13.40.
