Hi Jim,
I live right on the TN border so I usually go into TN for FS roads. There are tons of them around Tellico Plains, TN if you're looking for a good starting point. The Cherohala Skyway also starts there and goes into Robbinsville, NC; it's a gorgeous ride albeit tarmac. Hit me up if you're coming out this way, I'd be happy to show you some great roads off the beaten path.

Thanks for the info. I will certainly hit you up when I plan on heading out that way. Definitely hitting the Blue Ridge Parkway this fall. Taking it from Rockfish Gap in VA and riding it all the way over to your neck of the woods.

So far, I love it. The sport bags are a nice addition - keying the locks to match the bike was a little challenging, but I got it done. So far I have also added knee pads, handlebar risers, Rockform phone mount, and a radiator protection grill. I am waiting on adjustable highway pegs I ordered from a guy in India.
