As I ride half of my commute in the dark, I have not been liking the Adaptive Headlight, especially since a lot of my commute involves curves. I have read somewhere that the lean angle can be changed so the Adaptive Headlight does not come on so easily (Cagers are constantly thinking I am flashing them and it actually causes some dangerous situations when they get confused by the lights turning on and off). Is this something that the Dealer has to do? I cannot find anywhere to adjust the lean angle engagement (If I remember correctly, there were only 3 preset angles available).
I find the light from the headlight alone is not acceptable and I really do not want to pay an additional $800 to add Aux lights; I was wondering if there was any way to turn on the Adaptive Headlight (both sides at once) WITH the headlight and use it strictly as an Aux light. It could be adjusted down, so as to not blind any oncoming traffic. I would just wire it straight into the headlight switch, but I don't want to void my warranty. I almost feel like just having the Dealer turn it off fully (what a waste of a Special only feature).
