I'm likely in minority, but I'm liking the new ST. I've always enjoyed the engine performance and very good suspension of my 22/24 PA and to be honest I'm only about 10% of the time doing off road riding. Im looking at trading the 22 PA and will definitely test ride the new ST. To be honest the biggest negative I have with the new ST is the elimination of the center stand which definitely did makes thing a lot easier for maintaining the chain.
Put a 17” wheel on the front of yours and it’s a ST but better. They only achieved the weight reduction by removing things like the center stand, hand guards, chopping the windshield, non electronic suspension, removing the side guards, giving it a lighter stock exhaust.
if you ask me this is more like the Pan America Standard that never came to be and figured out a way to market it to charge as much as a Special.
