Just purchased a second hand Pan and have put a tall seat on it as I am 6'4". I would like to disable the ARH on a permanent basis as I have to push the bike far too far to the right to get the side stand down. The only way I can see is to create a custom mode and disable it in that. However, if I am in Enduro mode or Rain mode or any of the standard modes, I have to put the bike into a custom mode in order to get rid of the ARH so as to put the side stand down safely. This is a pain in the neck in the dirt. I have heard rumours of a shop knowing some factory trick to disable the ARH on all modes. Is anyone able to assist please? Thanks. Brother Silverback.

there is a post in HD forums .com where someone had a pan America with a harness incorrectly wired. It prevented the bike from lowering. He has a screen shot of the wiring colors and what they control.

Thank you kindly. I shall follow it up. I note that the manual shows how to do it but the Australian version does not include the ride customisation ARH settings as per Fig 13 ARH Selections. Appreciate it.

Thank you very much. I will be checking mine.
I asked the dealer to check it out and they said it was fine. Sure if you hop up and down on the seat it would then lower. so i read that article, sure enough mine was wired wrong so i fixed it myself and wow it works like it should. i have mine on a long delay so when i get to an intersection for a few seconds it will then lower and cars will look at you in awe. Wife thinks its cool too she gets a kick out of it.

I don't like the side stand at all. I'm using the center stand all the time. I'm tall so easy enough to leverage it up on the center stand.

That crappy stand has cost me bucks. Its cost me three drops of the bike. I hate it with a passion. Harley spends millions on developing this wonderful bike just so they can put a 5 dollar POS stand on it.
Yes I too use my center stand as much as possible.
