I never ride 2 up, and want to take advantage of the extra space, especially now that the Corbin seat is on and doesn't match😜
I plan on making "trunk" for the back that will also have tie downs and the ability to have a top pannier style box out on it. It will be aluminum, and also house all the as yet to be determined rear lights....
I'd love to hear

Wow, are you lacking some supervision?😁
But seeing some of your other "mods" I'm thinking your bike is in good hands and gonna be great when back together.

I like it, I'm trying to find dimensions on Rotopak's Gasflask.....It looks narrower and will hopefully fit where / how I want it to.....

I just reassembled my bike so it Looks original now.
But let me say that fueltank is a mess to put it back.
It tok me one hour. A lot of parts to assemble with no sight to it.
Nevertheless, it is on.

Stage 1 (? 🤷🏼‍♂️) done except for some finishing clean up. Made some on the fly changes (there is no REAL plan) as I went. The frame has been shortened, narrowed, passenger foot peg bosses removed, and the bottom plate is for the most part done. I'll set it back on the bike next and layout all of the electronics and ABS module as close to the front as possible, then go from there.....

That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see it cleaned up and back together. Stiffer I bet.
It will definitely be stiffer, I was a little surprised how flimsy it was. The only thing holding the 2 tube sections together are the 2 stamped mounting plates. I'm sure it was tested for strength since it's supposed to hold a person and luggage but wow. I needed a clamp to hold it in place for welding when I narrowed it, but I was able to press the ends together by hand. To be perfectly honest, I was actually not impressed with the build quality of that piece; HD needs a better jig for it, and a much better welding system, big goopy welds on everything, ESPECIALLY the foot peg mounts... just gross😕. Ideally I'd love to see it made of stainless and TIG welded..... But $$$$$$$......

So the base is complete! Narrowed and shortened, electronics cleaned up and centralized. I had to build spacers for the ABS module since it used to hang below the frame. Fabricated an interlocking wedge hanger for the TOCE exhaust and a simple licence plate mount. Now I have to wait..... The tail light I ordered isn't expected to arrive until the end of the month... But I'll have time to work on the "trunk" part.... I'm very happy with how it's turned out so far😎👌

Hey all, work has been ridiculously busy, there's been about 19 design changes, and with just slight ADHD + OCD combo, SQUIRREL!, it's finally set in its final profile...... The bottom will be cut after all of the side pieces are tacked in and curved to the final shape that evolved on arts and crafts day...... My plan (hahahaha yaa right) is to get it all cut and tacked up this weekend. There will be LED lights across the top and bottom rows in 1 of about 8 configurations fighting for supremacy in my head... I'm still debating top or side access to the "trunk". Side access would be more convenient for when the top bag or the rack has a box on it (I think I may use a Pelican case instead of a traditional pannier style). Either way will incorporate the factory key release, the stock rear seat has donated the locking pin, and it will be welded to the new "door". Right now it looks like a mess, but the shape is finally where I'm really happy with it.
