Not yet. Have tried several things. Have only managed to rub more of the coating off causing more dark spots

No way, so in essence we have massively de valued our bikes by washing them.............

Ok guys I have good news and so far 90% successful
This paste seems to be removing the marks
It’s slow process sore finger but worth it just small area at a time not too much weight to rub
Hope this is useful

I wash pretty regularly. I've used a few different products, mainly S100 but never had this unfortunate thing happen! You guys know the names of these products that are causing this? Common ingredient maybe?

So today I noticed some of these spots on only the rear cylinder head on the left side looks speckled I have no idea what caused it I haven’t washed the bike in 3 weeks since I haven’t been stuck in the rain the bike is still clean just a bit dusty. The engine coating seems to be more like a paint not a powder coat. I tried a light compound on a rag but that seemed to make it slightly worse in the inconspicuous area I tried. I’ll keep you posted if I find a solution. I also noticed paint came off the rocker box cover and stuck to the rubber boot on the clutch cable that’s just at the rear of the tank and rests on the valve cover. That can’t be seen unless I push the cable and look at the area it’s resting on

Hi everyone, I'm writing to you from Italy, I had the same problem, the cause was a cleaner for the rims, which obviously I didn't spray on the engine, but somehow it will be over. I tried to clean it with everything, I'm desperate. If you find any solution, help me!
