Are the left and right mirrors different threads on our bikes? Which direction to loosen each of them (left and right, if they are different)?

Most Harleys the mirror post is standard, "right hand" threads, but now you got me thinking.

I believe the left mirror is reverse threads however I was wrong once before 😁

I installed Double Take Mirrors on my PAS about a month or so ago.
The 3 marks on the right mirror adaptor is for the reverse threads.

Yes. That's the one that I have the 3 marks on.

There is a right and a left threads.
The mirror with a left thread has a lock nut with horizontal double marks on them.
To install turn to the left side, it won't fit on the other side.

I can confirm that the right one is reverse threaded and yes, the Double Take mirrors rock. I also installed a set of Bark Buster handguards. Productive rainy day. 👍

Be aware at high speeds they will shift position.

At 80, they held, but I will be mindful of that if I am going faster.

Hi, I have a 2021 Pan America I just installed Harley Adversary mirrors. I almost destroyed the whole bike. My Bad. Yes mirrors are right hand threads on the clutch side and left hand threads on the throttle side. The adversary mirrors are great. When you order from Harley it says Pan Am need end caps and gives part number. You do not need them.
