Just a quick intro.
i’ve been riding Harleys since the early 90’s. Currently own a 2016 Ultra Limited and a 2015 Dyna Wide Glide. The Ultra is being part ex against a new Pan America Special. I’ve been looking for something that will make a good two up tourer but weighs considerable less than the Ultra Limited, the Pan fits that bill. Myself and the misses regularly do two week long trips around the UK, so comfort and luggage capacity was more important than off road ability.

I’m currently waiting for a call from the dealer with an expected delivery date. Like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Any way look forward to some good bike related chat with you guys to pass the time.

So you're thinking it will be good two up riding? I hope it is as I plan on selling my road king but you're first (I've seen/heard) say that. I know it's got the seat and pegs but so do crouch rockets. One things for sure, you're not gonna shoot your eye out!😁

Only time will tell, but I had a 2 hour test ride and it was still comfortable at the end. No reason to suspect I’ll have stop before either tank empty or bladder full. So confident it will make a good one up tourer.

The misses had a quick go on the back during the test ride. It’s got plenty of room in the seat and she recons it was comfortable. I know a 10 minute ride isn’t enough to judge touring ability but it made me confident enough it will be a good two up tourer to sign on the dotted line.

It’s never going to be Ultra Limeted levels of comfort but it’s never going to Ultra Limited weight.

Just hope I’m right, otherwise it’s going to be an expensive mistake.

I have gone from a road glide ultra also was looking for a lighter bike myself and wifey went out for a couple of hours she was happy all the time thought it was a blast she is an experienced pillion and rider, so we pulled the trigger and have bought one, will be better with top box on, as the bike flies and pillion too !if you don't warn them when it is in sports mode🤣😂😂

😂 Thanks for your input, as of now it's just me but good to know bout two up. Watched my fair share of reviews but only saw one comment on two up and it was two decent sized men so they may as well not commented on it. I would like to see/read some others opinions bout two up.

This is good know, and confirms my expectations.

It was the lack of top box that stopped the misses going any further. She has never been confident on any bike without a back rest.

Looking at luggage the HD stuff seams way overpriced. I’ve been looking at the Givi options and a comparable set is coming in about £800 cheaper for panniers, top box and all the fitting hardware. Any thoughts or experience with Givi.

Picked mine up today, I must have been one of the lucky ones, it sounds like they are going to be scarce until next year especially if you want all the options on them, my dealerships only has two standards now and not many people want them.

I took my 18 year old son on the back and it was roomy and comfortable, the additional weight did not dull the bikes performance. Unfortunately, in line with the spurious suspension operational experience I’ve had to date, the preload remained exactly the same as when solo riding, whether on Auto or selected from the loading menu. I have a feeling mine is stuck on maximum preload. I intend to do some sag measurements in the near future to confirm or dispel my concerns.

Do you have the email address you used.

I’ve been chasing these guys and getting now where. Every call is the same I ask for a delivery date and the sales guy says "I don’t know but I’ll find out and call you back" he has never called me back. Got onto the dealer principle who assured me I’d get regular update and then nothing for 6 weeks until I call them again.

Even last week I call and asked for a firm date as all I’ve been told is end of October. He couldn’t tell me when it was expected but it would be end of October. I pointed out the end of October was a week off and I refuse to believe they do not know what stock is being delivered the week after.
