Took a trip to the desert in Lancaster, CA to see the "Kill Bill Church" -- along the way it is easy to turn onto named but unpaved roads and I dove straight toward the Mojave Desert! Sand is a BEAST but so much fun. I have the stock tires on, not the nobbies so it was doubly challenging. FREEDOM to move across the region with Yucca's and Joshua Trees all over the place. I christened the bike well by finally dropping it 2x. Sand is a BEAST but so much fun (wait, did I say that). Phone died so no pics of it but 1x I pushed the wheel back toward a divot to get leverage lifting with my back toward the bike. The other was in a wonky position but I was able to straighten it with my gut on my seat. Was a challenge but DAMN satisfying all in all. Both times the bike knew it tipped over (and it let me know as much just in case I wasn't aware). Both times it started right up. No issues. Nada. Zilch. Grateful for that and glad to share. I need to find some local PAS riders and head back out to the desert. It was a blast. I eventually made it to the church (and put the power port/charger to use and it did the trick spot on and I could take a pic asap) took the great Sierra Highway home. Great day trip.

hahahaha. I was geeking out in the sand and only then realized the music had stopped and when I dropped the bike I looked at the phone and realized....Once I set her upright and got back on, I pulled out a long charging cable, plugged her in and fed it straight to my breast pocket and she charged just fine. Still deciding on a stabilizing bar so the phone is pocket bound for now...and yes, I'll be doing that all the time after that sandy lesson...
