Hey folks, Pan Am owner here, first post, etc. The main reason I’m posting is to ask others pan am owners opinion about handle bar cell phone holders and how close they are to gas tank when fueling (at least mine seems to be). I have a popular aftermarket cell phone holder that I attach to the left side handle bar, about the only place I could attach the cell phone holder where it was out of the way of controls, etc. My concern is when fueling my cell phone seems to be awfully close to gas fumes (5-7”). Has anyone else with cell phone holders noticed this? Is this too close for a cell phone to gas fumes? Does anyone that uses a handle bar cradle for cell phone remove the cell phone from cradle when fueling? Or is it not the hazard that I think it is?? Thanks in advance for anyone that might have some insight into this.
