Good Morning, or Afternoon. This will be my first post, and I love this bike more than anything! Currently running the Screamin' Eagle muffler with the middle option air filter element from Harley Davidson. Fog lamps and A1 risers with the idea of adding the tank bag during longer rides with hard bags installed.

Almost at 30k...

Just recently had my instrument Cluster black out on me and I am hoping the software updates at dealers will amend this. Rode home last night at 23* and the screen attempted to populate but then the big red triangle popped up and needed "cooldown" time and off it went. Bike was able to start and rode home fine. Looking forward to good conversations and ideas. Thanks!

Welcome to the show from the Frozen Tundra of the Midwest. "Tell yer folks I says hi"!

There are a few members who have reported similar situations. From my experience, these machines are super voltage sensitive. Seems like the slightest deviation from a fully charged battery causes any number of gremlins. Some things to check before making the trek back to the dealer......
1. Using a multimeter, check the output of the battery directly off the battery posts.
2. While you are there, make sure the connections to the battery are good and clean.
3. measure voltage off the trickle charger port. note if it is different than directly off the battery.
4. Place a trickle charger on the battery overnight. see if the gremlins go away.
This is the most simplistic way of determining if there is a battery cell issue. Report your findings to the dealer and insist on a firmware / software update. With 30K on the bike, it is possible that the cheap-shit factory battery may be on its last leg.
Clearly, they will need to do a load test on the battery, confirm how many CCA it has in it, and if it is charging properly.

YES YES YES it is!! I think if you're cranking on it and the voltage drops to 10v? It will kick up mega codes!. I just clear them and on my way with no issues. Several times I just let it go and about 5 miles down the road they disappear. If i start the bike, run it till the steam is gone from the exhaust, and run it once a week i get not issues and i do have a battery tender on it.

If I don't ride mine for a few weeks the voltage gets a tad low on the battery. It will start but then usually starts "chugging" and dies then throws a warning light. After I ride it for a while and turn it off it goes away. Somewhere in the system there is a battery drain, probably the ECM. I assume this is the reason it comes with a lead for a battery tender stock.

I do think so. This bike has a lot of electronics on it and they suggest keeping it on a battery tender when not in use.

My display hates anything under 38°f......2500 miles since last November when I bought her, I haven't had the opportunity to ride in anything over 45° - 50° except for a few times. My experience is when its 38° or lower, the display pusses out! Can't handel the cold!
🥶🥶 I do the code deletes, ride every day, I dont put it on the tender since the last update.
I have seen it dosent happen as often in 'warmer' weather.
Just my 2 cents.
