I went over to my HD dealer to talk about getting in line to purchase a 2022 Pan America. Well they had a blue Special that just came in yesterday. This one has the cast wheels which is what I wanted vs. the laced wheels. Anyway they had offered it to 3 who had put down $$$ but they all passed preferring to wait on the laced wheels.

Long story short, I'm now the proud owner of a 2022 Fastback Blue/White Sand Special with Adaptive Ride Height suspension.

I've been owning and riding motorcycles for more than 40 years and have had just about every brand except Harley. This is the first HD that ever caught my attention in a good way.

That's great, so you able to enjoy it now? I love my RK but since getting mine it's been neglected. But now both are sitting in garage til more favorable riding conditions.
I'm mixed on that color tho, I like but not sure if I'd buy it if that makes since and I'm sure it's better looking in person than in photos.
Heres to new year and new bike, ✌

Well today in Central Indiana it was 14F. No, not riding. But the bike's not fully assembled yet. They say it should be ready by Saturday. Hopefully warm enough to ride it home.

The blue looks much better in person than on the screen. I'm not sure why but when you see it live the color really pops. My favorite color was the 2021 orange but this is a close 2nd. Although this is the only Pan America I've actually seen in person so far.

But the bottom line is I don't really care about the color. I'm not looking at that while I'm riding!

Yeah I felt that and what it is today! I'm ~30 miles NE of Indy bought my PA from Benson's.

Oh yeah I agree, very true, If it came down to having it or not I'd definitely not worry bout color but like everything, it's gotta be somewhat appeasing to you after all it's "yours".

So last week when I brought the bike home, it was already a bit late and getting cold and I pretty much rode it straight home. Today it was relatively warm for January (40F) in Indiana and I took the bike out for a ride. I wanted to get past 50 miles so that I could rev the engine over 5K rpm.

I found that the engine doesn't really deliver much power below 5K but once I hit the 50 mile mark and could rev higher I find that it's a much different ride. It really pulls hard from 5K-6K and that's just awesome!
