Today I have been mostly enjoying these new tools. Little and large(er).

The tiny combination set fits perfectly under the rear seat and may be useful if push comes to shove.

The big spanner is for the wheel axle bolt. 32mm/36mm mammoth size! And a great tool for a gang fight! Peacemaker. ☮

Good idea about the spanner wrench. I should toss one inside my top case. I use a gallon-sized ZipLoc bag to carry pretty much every tool I can think of and keep it in the top case, as well as other necessary stuff (coffee thermos, rags and cleaning stuff, tire patch kit, air compressor, first aid kit, maps, knife, flashlight, blah blah). The case is 3/4 full but it’s nice to have things with me at all times.

I know I should have bought a socket, but the urge was strong for the big Draper 32mm 36mm combination spanner! My half inch Draper Expert socket set only goes up to a puny 32mm, no-where near man enough for the Pan America! 🇺🇲 I loves ma tools.

Install a couple of mounting clips for easy access when cars get too close... 🤔🤔🤪
I found this little gem too.... Makes for a very easy and quick chain check....

Thanks for the post about the man sized spanner. I believe I see myself purchasing one in the future. I did pick up a 15" adjustable wrench for the same purposes. View attachment 1079

Please be careful using such a long lever to tighten the axle nuts. Use an anti-sieze compound on the nuts and torque to spec. Over tightening and galling the threads will ruin your day. I doubt that a PA rear axle is stocked item at any Harley dealership.

I have a dumb question but I haven't owned a chain drive bike since the late 70's. Do you measure from the same side (top or bottom) of the chain each time? Or is it the inside going up and outside going down to include the chain in the measurement?

Good question. I’ve always just measures the deflection so if it states 50mm deflection. Then the top of the chain in its lowest to top of the chain in its highest. But I’ll be honest I’ve never thought about it or asked the question. I could be completely wrong, wouldn’t be the first time.

That's too easy! You're right tho and yes, I should have bought a socket, seen the big spanner and had to have it. #Guilty as charged.

I will quietly be adding one to my 1/2 Draper set soon.

BTW, the tiny Bosch tool set has been pushed into service on the bike already/genuinely useful to have tucked away under the seat.
