The crucial matter with measuing oil level within a motor is amount of time allowed for oil to drain back to the sump or oil tank after shutdown. Cold oil, no wait required. Hot oil, wait a few mins then check. Oil temperature alone, hot or cold, won't change the indicated visible dipstick oil level. I'm not buying that at all. Sorry, not sorry. Dirtglide. ☮
