Hello. New member here, I recently traded my 2019 Breakout for a 22 Pan Am S. I fell in love when I test rode it and had to bring it home. Excited to be a member of this community. Just hit 1K on it when it randomly died on me while on a ride and left me stranded for about 20-30 minutes. I was able to restart it and drive straight to my local HD. As of now, they are wanting to replace the engine wiring harness. Hopefully it all works out. Minus this issue, the bike had been a real blast to ride.

Oh brother!
Great way to start out. Hopefully they get you going soon.

Thanks for the warm welcome here. I have been lurking for a while looking at all the cool upgrades other Pan Am owners are doing. Of course with the good comes a lot of bad posts about different quirks and issues that the Pan Am has been plagued with. I bought mine new right before Christmas. I believe it had 8 miles on the ODO. This thing has been a blast to ride. I was skeptical about the power because I was coming from a 114 breakout, which had insane torquey power. After riding the Pan Am for a couple months, just hitting the 1K mark, I have to say that I am really blown away with the power band that it has. I have been riding most of my miles in road mode. Although I am bummed about the recent stall and CEL that I experienced, I am confident that HD will get me going again soon! Hopefully sooner than later, as I was just beginning to add some cool parts.

Keep your HD dealer /service dpt accountable. I don't even ring them anymore, I send them emails so I have everything in writing.
Not that I've had many problems, haha ... but better safe than sorry.
That is some really good advice. They just contacted me and told me the bike was ready to go. I asked him what they were able to figure out about it. I had them perform the 1K service since it was there. Waiting to hear back.

Just got my Pan Am back today from a service checkup and 1K service. So far so good. I thought I read somewhere someone saying that they feel like the Pan Am makes a deeper growl after the 1st service. I am going to have to agree with that. She has a nice purr at around 4K RPM while cruising in road mode that she didn’t have before. I have the stock exhaust on, been debating on changing it out, but I am not so sure now. I really like the way she sounds. They did an ECM update as well as check out some wires at the harness that they said were switched around. Not sure. Hoping I won’t have to visit a HD dealer anytime soon unless it is to install some fancy parts. Ride safe out there. :)
