The pictures I took are not the greatest. But here you can see the slight angle the grips are at currently. I may end up rotating the bars forward a touch to level the grips slightly.

And issues with the wires and brake lines?

 

All factory wiring has plenty of slack. The brake line had enough length to not be an issue. There is not much slack remaining from the master cylinder to where the line bolts to the top triple clamp.

I was a bit worried when I removed the bar ends and discovered they were threaded into the bars. I was pleasantly surprised that the EVO bars were threaded as well.

 

I'll be ordering them tomorrow!

Nice handlebars. Do you have instructions somewhere on how to unmount/mount all the controls on the handlebar? I need to remove mine to install a crossbar. I'm lookin for instructions however just to make no mistakes...

If you look up the accessory heated grips Harley offers for the Pan America on Harley's parts and accessories site, there is some nice instructions on how to remove the grips and control covers ( link: Accessory Grip Installation )

Once you remove the control covers you will be able to see the clamping fastener. Just loosen the clamping fastener and unhook the wiring connectors and the control modules slide off of the bars just like the grips.

 

What risers are you using?

 

Stock.

Tomorrow, they go on!

 

Mine went on in about an hour and a half, tried to keep the pazoma risers, but they are too high for the wires and cables, so stock it is.
Hand guards are off (not like they did anything anyway)
I really like the way they feel, might make a 3/4" riser to get them up a little more.
Haven't done any real riding, just to lunch, a wheelie or three, but they feel good!

 

So they look a little higher... what would you guess they measure uop and back from stock? And a little wider too, huh?

 

They are higher than stock, a little wider, not so much back. I haven't really adjusted them back.

So what are your impressions? What do you think the biggest difference is over stock?

Do they have a different angle from stock? I am looking for something a little more straight than swept... Elbow problem makes my hand go numb at the current angle of the stock bars...

 

I have shattered my wrist and fused 3rd and 4th Metalocalypse bones, they are alot more comfortable than stock. Not so much of an angle, got a few thousand miles on the bars

Well, I pulled the trigger on them… Amazon had them for $105 to my door by next Monday. Hopefully, I will have the bike back from its 10k service and warranty work on the ARH and the full pump shortly thereafter….

 

I'm looking at going with these or the ODI bars. Can you guys take some pics of the Pro Tapers? I'm mostly interested in seeing if the handguards look okay with the different bend versus stock.
