2022 PAS with HD app on Android phone:

I'm having an issue where sometimes I get no map data showing in the bike's display even though the HD app is connected and is giving me directions.

On the map I just see a grid with the route but no map data. Other times it works as it should. I'm not clear what I'm doing wrong when it works vs. doing right when it does.

Any ideas?

If it’s any consolation your probably doing nothing wrong. The app and particularly the sat nav part are problematic.
Unfortunately I don’t have a fix.

You could try downloading offline maps to your phone, via HD app go to profile, settings, the cog wheel on the top right, offline maps, dowload maps and select the region you want. Might help and will save your mobile data.

That's already done and the map shows in the HD App, just not on the bike's display....sometimes.

Mine works but the map just keeps spinning and can't seem to fix north. Until they sort this out I'm either using Google maps or my TomTom. I'm extremely disappointed with Harley. I have no issues with turn by turn on my Moto Guzzi.

Same issue (iPhone user) - the sat nav is a bit hit and miss, unfortunately. When it happened to me - I stop and started the bike, it popped back up.

The other issue I encountered was with the sat nav orientation getting confused (not pointing in the direction I was heading). I did reposition my iPhone which seem to help (does it uses the phones compass?) - but may have been a fluke

It's a shame they didn't just implement apple/android car play as that just works. Honda have done that with the NT1100. Perhaps some clever dude will come up with a hack in the future?

One possible root cause and remediation for the "no map shown / checkered board only" (works for me, following the direction of my dealership): turn on the phone and the HD app first. Then the ON/OFF switch to the ON position and start the engine. If I follow that order rigorously, the map comes up without issue. Had that flipping North/Driving Direction issue in the past, but after the 1k miles service and update it seems fixed.

have same issue with android. downloaded offline maps, reinstalled apps and cleared cached data multiple times. have given up. Resorted to the ol harley phone mount and google maps.

Ciao anch'io ho problemi con la visualizzazione della mappa l'icona Bluetooth ha una croce rossa il più delle volte è non connette. Funziona tutto tranne le mappe sul display.
Non riesco a fare sparire la spia della pressione posteriore dello pneumatico nonostante sia alla pressione corretta. A volte appare un triangolo in alto a sinistra sul display a volte no. ps:
