Had fun scaring my long suffering wife and the marshalls by taking the short cut across the field to the car park, at speed! Was a great day out, met friends, eat chili, gawped at motorbikes and tools. Bought a couple of heavy duty tie straps for the trailer for 25quid haggled down from 30 and a set of imperial spanners for fixing our American washing machine 2quid. Had to have a sit down after that mad spending spree.

Harley have lost the plot though, I'm afraid. Look at the otherwise bog standard Pan America which was on show, covered in crappy stickers and other than those and the screen, a bog standard bike, other than the rusty chain. What an embassassment. Why Harley. Why?

The lovely CVO which is a thing of beauty and yet has a clutch lever heavier than even Popeye could handle. Why Harley. Why? Wrong choices made and continue to be made.

"England and America are two great countries separated only by a common language. . ." I'm still bitter over the shuttering of Buell if that proves I've understood the context of the above. . .

Happy Trails,

Paul

Reference Buell. . . Not the same without Erik in the mix. . . Interested in what the SuperTourer turns into, but the vibe is the new owners just bought up all the leftovers from the short-lived Erik Buell Racing aka EBR (thanks, Hero!), and slung that 10 year old technology in a bike and then put a $25K price tag on it. . .

Don't get me started your so-called "all-loom-mim-in-mum" . . . It's "alum-i-num" - - stop adding the extra cadence. Used to scream at Jeremy Clarkson every time he mispronounced it on the real "Top Gear". . .

All in good fun, and as a proud American - - apologies and/or condolences for Meghan Markle. . .

My lunch today. Bacon & lorne sausuage on an, all they had, sesame roll, and can o' IRN BRU, natch, from a local at the time cafe, while I was having new tyres fitted to a recently purchased, 24-year-old 7m long, caravan! Feck, I must be getting, old. Grandkids, Harley, caravan? Check. :D

No MOT test on UK caravans. Perhaps there should be.... They're decades old and ruined.

I the slang of the Scots and the Brits, the Buel was not mentioned we too have our problems especially listening to the pronunciation of the USA ie luminum instead of Aluminium its all part of the funI am from Yorkshire if i let loose you would not understand a word ay up r lad.
I found out through Ancestry.com that my relative that came to the new country back in 1685 was born in Froxfield, England in 1661. We haven't verified fully yet but it appears his great-great grandfather was from Gloucestershire, England, born in 1536. A small world laddie.

Spring is just around the corner, John. Booked a holiday week for next month, end of. Hope to enjoy a few of days ride out visiting the East coast and beyond, NC500 type stuff. I do enjoy the North coast and it's ages since I've been to Bettyhill, too long. Never on a Harley. Bike is still on a SORN, will be getting taxed at some point, honest. 😉
