Good morning, a few months ago I bought a new 2021 Panamerica. I did not have the software updated to that version that increases the size of letters and numbers on the screen and I asked for that update. They put it on and told me that the bike stayed at 4000 rpm in error mode (?), that there was a problem with that update and that therefore they had to put the previous version back on. It sounds very strange to me because I don't understand why there is this problem in some units and not in others, all motorcycles being the same. And it surprises me that a brand like Harley tells me that we have to wait for another version of software to be released. So I've been waiting 2 months.
Someone else happens?
Do you have info on this problem?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Tian,

reading among the forums you'll be surprise of how many issues with the software updates have been reported.

I heard about PAS owners downgrading due to major issues immediately after the upgrades and also about upgrades fixing an issue and causing other issues.

Bikes are not all the same, my PAS for example had the BCM burned while HD garage was upgrading its software. The new BCM came in after 2 months and the part number was not exactly the same. The new BCM was upgraded to the last version of the software and after that, some features of the dashboard were not there anymore. Won't write here a list because this is not the scope of your question but now you know PAS are not exactly the same not even if built the same year.

Take care,
Alberto
