What I just sent to Supertrapp:

_
2021 H-D Pan America Special 1250
Exhaust rcvd and installed yesterday, 3/8/2023.
V-5 Slip-On for Pan America '21-'22 / SKU 525-71250

Some feedback for y'all:

1. No mention in the directions about having to reuse the OEM front exhaust gasket where your mid pipe meets the catalytic converter. H-D part #65900056, GASKET,EXH,MUFFLER-HEADER, $15.28. It was a bear getting that gasket out of the removed OEM resonator (it did not remain on the bike when the resonator was removed). Either include similar or advise us to purchase one please.

2. The "supplied stainless sleeve" for the new mount bracket at the stock muffler point is too long in my opinion (compare it with the OEM shoulder bolt). I ended up reusing the OEM black shoulder bolt even though it doesn't match the stainless steel.

3. Front and rear support straps holding the muffler were covered in packing/anti-scratch plastic that was ridiculous to remove, lol.

4. Be advised in the H-D service manual, they say to always replace the Torca clamp vs reusing. H-D part # 65900015 (as your directions listed), $9.22.

5. One washer missing of the 4 required for the support straps.

I'm very happy with the looks of your pipe and muffler, though I may add some sort of heat shield on the mid pipe. It does seem louder in real life vs videos/audio I've heard.

Overall easy install, getting the old muffler and resonator off weren't as bad as I thought. Install on the side/jiffy stand (vs centerstand) because you have to remove the R side footpeg bracket (which the centerstand is attached too), and move it out of the way to get to the resonator shoulder bolt and the Torca clamp nut.

I would suggest purchasing the two H-D part #s above just in case you need them if you go with this system (probably any system where you are removing the resonator).

Pics below, I will add the video/audio on my Instagram (I hope lol) and come back here and edit with a link.

If you see the smoke coming off at the front of the new mid pipe, that's penetrant I used on the Torca clamp.

That looks slick!!
Thanks! I looked at a lotta exhaust systems before I chose this one. I liked the Vance and Hines one (and heard one at the dealer), but don't like springs on exhausts lol. Boce I listened to directly as well, too loud for me.

I do think the stainless looks better than black because it will eventually match up with the stock header pipe in color and patina (well, at least the mid pipe will, prolly not the muffler).

Supposedly only aftermarket system with a U.S.F.S. approved spark arrestor.

My first post this subject (where I had just ordered it) had their discount code in it for 20% off (just passing that on, does me no good).

One thing about the Super Traps, you can tune it to your liking!
It came with 22 discs preinstalled, and directions stated that it was setup optimum with that #. I'm probably going to leave it as is unless I ever happen to be on a dyno lol. I have the H-D extreme air filter in it already as well.

This pipe looks real nice! Since the exhaust will spill out the sides instead of the back, are you experiencing any issues with heat on your Panniers or soot buildup? Just curious as I do like this pipe but those would be my concerns.
No issues with heat or soot so far on the Hepco panniers (couple hundred miles on the pipe now). Most of the exhaust exits out the sides and bottom. I will keep an eye out, thanks.....
