Has anyone come up for the front of the HD tank bag folding in on it self?
It needs some type stiffener. It is impossible to keep the bag tight without it. If the bag can move around there is no way to stop the tank and console from being scratched and shifting around when riding off road.
I guess maybe the other question is that.
Has anybody found a better tank bag than what HD is offering?
Hopefully something that clips on, so it's easy to remove.
Thanks

You don't quite have the bag on correctly, it will/need to be moved up/forward more towards the tft. The bag will cover the tank gas cap/cover.
And I got my straps snug not overly tight! It's got small wrinkles but nothing like yours.

Think that'll help you out alot and from the handful tank bags I've seen I like the way HD bag straps down (two up front and one bottom) most others have two straps that go to side and have potential to rub on tank.

I like the snap idea. Not sure why HD/SW-Motek designed it this way. All the other ones I’ve owned attached at the base. It also makes it more difficult and added stress to the zipper. I was thinking of trying to sew the straps to the base but for now, added a thick plastic support inside the from pocket where the rain cover resides. I used some spare flowerbed border plastic as a stiffener

and rounded all edges to avoid damaging the bag’s material. A sidestand puck might fit as well as serve a dual purpose. I like the edging because it already was curved to match the bag’s profile.

Late to the thread, but been very pleased with the Rocket bag I purchased in lieu of the Harley option. Less than a third of the price and don't need to remove the bag for re-fueling.

Modified the straps to "fit" like the Harley bag.

Smaller capacity than the Harley option, but plenty of room for the essentials.
