Why should you want to do such a thing is beyond me you could start by measuring the rear width of the sub frame to see if a larger rim will fit. There are enough tyres out there to get more grip if it,s only the optic the i personaly would leave it as it is .Everything is possible it,s just the matter of your bank account !!

the pirellis area really good for street riding and offer some off road capability, i just heard that METZELLER has a 19 inch front sportec M9 RR tires, so you could do both, METZ makes awesome tires.

If you are only planning to ride on paved roads I suggest the Dunlop Roadsmart 3. They are a sport touring tire. I run these on my FXLRS and they have plenty of grip to them. I can't speak to how many miles you can get out of them, I am still on my first set after about a year.

I run a 190 on my FXLRS and it has serios grip. I would imagine these tires on the Pan America generating a lot of wheelies on hard take offs.
