100000% sure there is a BCM update for fixing USBC and accu drainage. I can give you mulitple links, in fact my PanAM will be updated this week. The BCM update is present since the end of May. If you work for a HD dealer it is worrying that (I also did experience this in the Netherlands) HD dealers are not aware... To answer yoyr question: All first batch PanAms do not have a hot USBC when ignition is on. It was a stupid misstake from HD< it was designed for updating purposes only. Now it is also to be used for power supply when the engine is on

Just a friendly suggestion, don’t use that thing to charge your accessories. USB ports are notorious for wearing out.
The guy from the dealership said it was used for service diagnostics mostly.
My guess is the wear and tear on that port is going to make it fail sooner than you’d like.
Personally, I’m going to run a wire up from my battery with a dedicated USB charger on it. Have them on my other bikes. Easy to do.

Thnx for the advise, however I am going to use the USB C port for charging. If it breaks HD will have to replace it for the upcoming four years or come with more sustainable solution.

My bike is doing the same thing. The dealer said the update was done already . Is there a way to check and see what flash has been done to the bike via Bike info or Diagnostics on the infotainment screen? Also very rarely does the bike start on the first cycle , is this normal? Oh and when having my phone and Sena 50S connected, i tend to drop out of my group conversation continually. Growing pains

I plugged my USB-C charging cable to my iphone and started up. It is charging well. Got it last week from HD Frankfurt. I think they have updated it already here in Germany.

Alternative would be to use a coax? to usb adapter and plug that into one of the two heated clothing, power supplies provided & located under the seat. DC Power Cable USB Female to DC 5.5x2.1mm Female Extension Convertor 12cm - UK | eBay

There's also a fused switched live available to be found under the fuel tank somewhere, so I'm lead to believe. I hope to use that for my Innovv C5 camera...

I get that its a new bike, new technology, etc but come on H-D......this is basic functionality that should have been caught before release

I'm having the same issue with the USB-C port not charging. . I read about the updates on this forum and asked the dealer to run the update. They took it back to the service area, came out five minutes later and asked if I had a USB-C adaptor? You would think the dealer would have one of these since they sell the bike? They can't even run dianogtics because they don't have a USB-C. Of course they're closed on Monday and will call H-D and determine what they need to to update the infotainment system. Fingers crossed between the dealer and H-D they will get this sorted out in the next couple of weeks.

Additonally, the clock gains about 5 minutes an hour, we've all heard the excuse of pair your phone and the time will be correct. However, use the H-D app to track your ride and the phone battery dies after a long ride and the HUGE amount of data used to capture the track ridden.

These need to be male, the ones on the bike are female. I will now be getting a male to male to finalise the connection and then connecting in one of these which cost around a tenner. O110 USB 2:1 Y-Splitter — OptiMate UK

This would also work. O103 USB Charger DC Plug — OptiMate UK
