Well, at the 997 mile mark I had my first rash of fault codes and ensuing performance decrease.

I took my wife out for a spin, we did maybe 35 miles. Stopped to cool off at a lake and by the time I went to pull back out on to the highway I noticed the bike was running weird. Sure enough, I had the Engine, ABS and TC symbols all come up. It was like riding with a weird kinda stunted rain mode on, barely wanted to get past 50 mph but being that the return trip was all highway, it eventually got up to 60mph.

I have error code P178500 and something else, but the screen kinda freezes up when I try to dig deeper.

I called the HD stealership I got it from and they are picking up the bike on Thursday to take a look at it. They didn't even ask on the phone about the codes or anything, I offered to ride it in if they could check what the code is and make sure it wasn't anything lethal. But they just said they'd come get it.

Ill update later on what they find.

I just realised I never updated this thread. Turned out the code was nothing, probably just a technological blip. The processor looking for a signal from a sensor and received it in .5 milliseconds instead of .2 milliseconds or something. I'm now at about 4000 miles and haven't had much of an issue since. More miles and smiles than anything.

Is this a code that can be cleared without the dealer? Having stuttering issues can be dangerous, especially if you're far from home/dealer.
yeh I cleared it myself and ended up just taking it to the dealer for its routine service. This was the early days before I understood that most alarms on this bike are just meaningless blips. Should they happen? No. Do they really matter? Probably not.
