For those that have to deal with Winter and prepare for the elements, what does your prep plan look like? Do you have a certain date that you swap out your tires? Do you just give up and store your bike for the Winter (do you fill the tank or do you empty it, do you treat your fuel)? Do you have an emergency kit that you have to get ready?

Ethanol free gas tank and a tender

My tank gets filled and a battery tender is a must. Both bikes get extensive maintenance and upgrades through the winter and spend various time on the hoist.

I use a battery tender all the time, even in summer. I've read that it helps make the battery last longer. I had a Honda Goldwing F6B and I sold it after 6-7 years and it still had the original battery in it. Other than that, all I do is add Stabil to a full tank of gas and let it sit. If I do ride it during the winter, I'll fill the tank when I'm done riding and add more Stabil to it. This has worked for me for years.
