Thinking of taking the plunge but a new bike is a little much for me. Hoping to scoop up a used PAS.. I've been seeing online prices from $15k - $20k w/ 2k-6k miles. I know with used, its never apples to apples but most are pretty close since its such a new model. Has anyone bought used recently? If so what was the prices/payments you had?

IMO there are enough stories about issues with the PAS that I'd want as much warranty as I could get (full 2 yr new Harley + a nice long extended). Like you I looked at a few super low miles 2022/2023 bikes before buying, but honestly the savings just isn't worth it in my opinion. Most private sellers aren't willing to budge on their price, and if you look around at multiple dealers you'll probably find one that has a bunch of brand new bikes that they can't move and will basically sell you at cost (this is what I did).

Lots of dealers out there still sitting on brand new 2022 bikes that have never been in-serviced (still full warranty), as well as 2023's, that they can't move. I think there may be a regional component to some of that so YMMV; but where I am I didn't have to go too far to get a pretty good deal on a new 2023 gray haze PAS w/ ARH and laced wheels..

Picked up a 2021 with 921 miles in February for $17,500. The motorcycle dealer took it in on a trade for a new bike (previous owner decided he did now want to ride off road) and did not ever deal with Harleys, so it was priced to be out the door quick.

Took it straight to the local HD dealer for 1st service and updates then slapped 3 more years of warranty on it. Look around, deals exist.

I bought a 2022 Special, had 3,000 miles, Two Brothers exhaust, a HD tank bag and soft tail bag. The price is hard to say. They were asking $18.5 (I think). I gave them two used Victories which were worth about 12K or so as trade value. If I had sold privately I probably could have got a little more but didn't want to deal with the private sales process. I gave them the two bikes plus $5K. That was out the door so included tax etc.

They showed me some crazy trade value for my bikes and a lower price for the bike I bought, for whatever reason they wanted to do it that way for their book keeping. I only cared about how big a check I had to write. I still have factory warranty left, I didn't buy extended at the time but after reading this forum I think I will go back and add it. I was told I could do so for the same price as long as I still had factory warranty left.

Hey guys. New here. You guys need to know there are deals out there to be had. In October of '24 I found a local 2023 Special with 56 miles on the clock. It also had $3,700 worth of upgrades done to it by HD before the old owner picked it up, upgrades I no longer had to do, but would have eventually as money came in.

I made a cash offer, it was low, and I asked the owner not to take offense to it as it was all I had, but it was a stack of cash. He told me his bottom dollar amount and we talked on and off for 4 months while I saved up by scrapping metal, flipping stuff on offer/up and Ebay.

In January I told him that I now had the money so we met up at his place with a buddy of mine and he counted the cash and signed over the title. It was 15 degrees outside and I had a 40 mile ride home with the wind chill of 4 degrees. As I was leaving, he has said, wait a minute, I forgot something. He goes into his garage and brings out a set of brand new Anakee knobbies. Told me they were useless to him. I told him I was out of money he said just take them.

I got the bike for a song and I do not want to say it here but if I sold it right now, I could easily make $6-7K without trying. So, cash talks guys. A lot of guys bought these bikes with hopes of getting in the dirt but it didn't "pan" out. I now have 400 miles on it and I love this bike. Considering taking it to my HD to see about an extended warranty. Ride safe guys.

I bought mine new, but my son bought a 22 for 13,500 this past December. (I wouldn't let him borrow mine anymore after he got a traffic cam ticket on the back wheel, prospect rocker flapping in the wind or it would have been my ticket)

He got pretty much the same deal as DOC.

Just picked a 2022 GI special with 542 miles on it. Looks brand new! Got it for 17K out the door with an extended 3 year warranty thrown in. It even came with all the factory black panniers and top box, oem skid plate, and screaming eagle muffler. This bike is amazing and comfortable. Looks like Street Glide ST might be sitting in the garage a lot more now. Pic coming soon as I am out of town on work travel right now.

I had a road glide and didn't want to pay new price for a PA, so I gambled and bought a '21 with 5k miles from a non-HD dealer. I paid $11,500 with a one year warranty. I knew about all the potential issues and took it straight to Golden-Spike Harley in Ogden Utah. New battery, new fuel pump, various tweaks to wires that were wore down, re-ordered how connections to the battery were fastened and all software updates were performed. About $1k total and so far its perfect. This dealer was eager to fix, worked with Harley and got my PAS working great. As long as you have a warranty, no need to fear.
