My Winter plan is, new tires. But I don't know what kind of tires, original or other brand. For sure a tougher rougher profile.
I'm still looking for the right one.
Otherwise I ride when the weather is ok with no snow and salt on the street.
Might Consider the motoz tractionator, they are not a great tire for mud or loose rocks but what I'm running right now.

Installing my extended hand guards, taller/wider windshield and extended fairing wings. Digging out the winter gloves and jacket. Still contemplating heated gear. But I've been contemplating heated gear since 1998.

I use to ride through the winter in NJ-MD-Northern VA areas for a few years using similar solution. I decided to try heated gear (gloves, inner jacket liner and pants) and i have to say it was a game changer for me. I was able to ride down to 30 degrees F in comfort (20 degrees was even not bad for a couple of hours) with just the heated clothes and a decent riding jacket. After a couple of winters i discovered that down to 40 degrees F, i just needed the heated jacket inner liner part as i had heated grips and extended hand guards.

It is really nice to be able to not have to wear 3 layers of clothing when temps dropped to the 40’s and below :)

Got a brand you like? Been looking at the HD heated liner b/c of this forum.

I have an extremely fortunate situation up here in New Hampshire. The H-D dealer offers winter storage with service. They take care of prepping the bike for the winter, storage in a heated facility at the dealership, then when ready to ride in the Spring, I just call and a few days later, ready to ride. 🏍 I just show up anytime after October 15th with a full tank of fuel and my baby gets to swap adventure tales with the other bikes all winter. Fortunately, the service station next to the H-D dealer has Zero Ethanol fuel available. We just had our 1st snow with accumulation last night ⛄ so I guess I will be headed over to them tomorrow or Saturday.

I like Hotwired which you can get at Revzilla or Cyclegear. It fits well under jackets (thin material) and is very reliable - I’ve had mine for about four years with no issues. Does not need separate controller (built into clothes).

For me its working a little OT here and there for some extra play money. I have a great helmet, but want a new one, cardo, some heated gear, clearwater lights, and panniers. We have a lot of riding days throughout the winter... will definitely be taking advantage.

This thing is SO much more comfortable than my '01 XL especially with respect to cooler temps.
