Hey all! When im getting up to 110+ the bars on the st like to shake and the steering damper from harley doesnt say if itll fit the st does any one know if it will? If not ill buy and update.
Im fine with it not being adjustable, but the bike shakes up towards 115+ and id like it to not do that. The stock Harley one does fit the st I put it on mine. That said it’s not adjustable if that’s something you’re considering
I'll have my Dealer look at it, but i just got it from the dealer, maybe a week ago.Double check front wheel balance.
The damper would help but far from solve your problem with wheel shake if your front wheel is off
did you put the Harley one on there from the special? The stock Harley one does fit the st I put it on mine. That said it’s not adjustable if that’s something you’re considering
Yea I went to the parts page for the special and got that one it bolts right in no issuesdid you put the Harley one on there from the special?
no bags either. Completely factory stock STDon't know if you have bags or not installed just wanted to NOTE my findings lol
I shall do some research hahah.Honda makes a bike called an ST1300 "Pan European" (no joke). It used to be used as a police bike in a lot of places. But the bike is very prone to high speed wobble or "weave"... This condition, known as "Pan Weave" (no joke, google it) caused a pile of court cases and deaths and even caused several police departments to pull them from the fleet. If my ST1300 went into a wobble, or weave, I would lighten my grip on the bars and lay flat to the tank.. It would stabilize instantly.
Honda blamed "improper loading and sag settings"..
The Pan America special can correct it's own sag electronically. Can the ST? Maybe look at that..
I agree with @Burnin Padrons, you've got something else going on. But I doubt a dealer will take it seriously if they can't replicate it.. And the won't be able to because they won't test ride triple digits.
