Yesterday I got my bike.
Dealer said he downgraded the SW release, because the last one seems to be not stable on some bikes.......
Strange thing, but since yesterday I ride 300 KM and no critical issue.
Some warning (yellow triangle), some whini start, but it works.....
Cross fingers......

THIS FORUM IS ACES. I find myself reading everything from everyone. It's "small" enough that I tell myself I can actually consume all the content written by you all for 60% of the topics of interest. BUT IT IS VERY HELPFUL to read your articulate explanations of the problems you've encountered. I'm still all in on closing my own purchase funnel by year end 2022 on a GI Enthusiast. I've already ridden "my" bike at the dealer and they've updated the software as I was trying to figure out the android auto solution I wanted so badly. NET NET of what I've read and what you've described is that buying this model of this bike at this time is a little like engaging in a lottery. Relatively few "winners" who unfortunately were delivered shitty bikes. I'm hoping I'm not going to be one of those. HOWEVER, the bottom line does seem to be the dealer dealer dealer identity. I'm a big fan of mine. First name basis with all departments even though some percentage of any dealership has turnover. So wish me no luck please! I'll keep you posted. If I am stranded eventually, I'll make sure I remember my forum credentials so I can have an additional on the fly resource from all of you.

some problems, it's true but the bike performs very well and runs beautiful. surprisingly good on dirt

Recently my PAS threw a bunch of CELs after struggling to start. It cranked, ran off one cylinder for a few seconds then died. I took it to the dealership last weekend for all the latest software updates. The technician confirmed what I already suspected: The Pan Am is VERY sensitive to battery voltage. If the battery is even a little low on voltage when you start it up it will shut down any systems that it doesn't need to run (and possibly some that it does). It is very much like modern European vehicles in that it gets squirrelly about the battery not being full power. I ride my bike at least once weekly, often several days a week, so I always thought it would be fine voltage wise. He said that if it is going to sit for more than a couple of days it should be on a battery tender. Kinda a PIA but at this point it's part of the game with modern vehicles and all the electronics. I'll have to ride it a few more days to see if the updates helped. It would be great if I could finally hook my phone to the bike and use the right hand controls to use Spotify or something. Thus far I've never been able to get anything to function in that regard.

Bummer for sure. I want more lights and a horn but am being cautious about the installs. Guys on this forum are installing Denali lights and Motohorns and that's where I"m headed. I haven't been hit with a slew of codes so just trying to be deliberate here. I do start it up daily and ride it at least every other day.

My sequence re spotify is: (0) my sena headset and my phone have previously been paired with the bike; (1) my phone is on and in my pocket and my spotify is open; (2) start the bike; (3) turn on my sena headset and it tells me I'm connected to the phone. From that moment when I hit the right hand controls the spotify operates as it can on the bike (to the extent the bike allows those things - for example you cannot flip through your albums or etc from the bike regardless of syncing) ... but at least the volume and pause and play and skip controls work on the right handset controls. If I can't hear anything or the display says the headset is not connected, I just power off the sena, wait 5 seconds and power it back on. IF that doesn't work, I have powered down the bike and restarted the sequence again. 80% of the time it works just as I've explained above and I'm used to it. However, 20% of the time I have to recycle the loop. I usually do this while sitting on my center stand in the garage...not moving until all is synced and I can hear The Rolling Stones in my ear....
