Switched Live 12v Accessory Feed

Remove seats, under riders seat you see two connectors, the one you want ends in a blank, see picture.

Unclip that from its holder by pushing down and towards the rear of the bike.

Here you can see how it is secured. Now you can remove the blank cover exposing the actual connector, bingo!

Three wires here; red is live, black is earth.

With ignition on; provides 12v switched & fused live.

And with ignition off.

I just need to find a matching connector - anyone know where I can find one? Is it a standard Harley item?

Hope this helps and was pleased I didn't have to go looking under the fuel tank.

The more I look at this the more I think; I just need to remove the OE connector altogether and replace with a universal waterproof automotive type connector. Why complicate things with proprietary BS! It's a dead simple 3 wire connector that's required.

Stage two has been reached. Now have DVR & camera powering up and down with the ignition + two 12v switched live feeds for a pair of spot lamps, light on brother. Ended using a combination of crimp & heatshrink and good old fashioned insulated spade connectors. The looms again put together with a combo of this 2m 20mm Polyester Cable Cover for Sheath Sheathing Sleeve Sleeving Wiring Wire | eBay and this 25mm x 25m TESA Tape PET FLEECE CABLE ROLL ADHESIVE CLOTH FABRIC WIRING HARNESS | eBay both a good and will keep the cabling tidy especially where I want it to, under the tank, with the two connectors from the lights resurfacing under the front seat. Earth wiring is temporary for now - will probably earth the lamps to the frame.

DVR is seperate inline fused at 1amp. Lamps will be fused through the circuit fuse. They're low draw at just over 1.2amp for both lamps. H-D OEM+ wiring.

With the suspension travel on this bike. Have you checked the first good pot hole won’t result in a dinted front fender and smashed camera.

I speak from experience with a similar install on an Ultra Limited.

Top tip! When connecting the power convertor; wire the 12v switched live red wire and the yellow signal wire together into the switched live feed. Earth and you're good to go.

I like the mud/rain flap but (for me) the tank pads seem small and don't quite look right but that could be cause I've seen harleys tank pads that are bigger and they "fit" well how the tank is designed with the "cutout/indent". But I am just a schleprock and that's just my .02.

Oh really like color of bike.😁

Can't get the Harley pads, these were 6 quid! They're just a little bit small, but so are my knees! :ROFLMAO: The mudguard, or wheelie control device, that was taken off my old bike before trading. It really did help keep the rear of the bike and my back clean(er).

Quie a lot of work later, including unbolting tank to run looms either side of the gas tank. The DRLs are working, as is the on-bike recorder is too. Still a work in progress, as not really happy with the wiring.... The Bikeviz.com spot lights are really good and useful in all road conditions. Hundred quid well spent, years ago.

Right, v.1 loom worked, but would likely not be reliable in the longterm as it had too many joins and therefore weak links. I've blown the budget and lashed out £79.99 on this tech, from Healtech. See here -

Will still need a slight mod as direct battery connection won't apply. Will just be tapping into the bikes switch live as seen on v.1. Provides upto 16amp via 5 connections, with USB being optional, as is 32amp. Should be reliable as a reliable fecker and safe! / workshop approved. V.2 up next. 🆒

I have fitted the Fuzeblock from Nippy Normans on my last several bikes for accessories, about the same price.

Check the Numbers on the Connector and Look at the Homepage of: te connectivity.
They might have all male and female Connectors.

This is a Molex connector and is sold by Waytek if anybody is interested in NOT cutting their harness. The one on the far right is what you are trying to connect to. The male connector and the male pins are what you want to match it.
