I bought a tender from Antigravity when I bought the battery and keep it on the tender using the factory connection. I'm not sure about using the remote restart through the factory connector. I bought the wireless remote and the Antigravity jump start connector in case I ever need to jump it without having to remove the skid.
Thanks for reply. I’ve got a lithium charger so no problem there. Just wasn’t sure if the Pan’s wireing would interfere with what ever sensing of the battery the charger needs.

Confessions time... The correct battery is a YTX14L-BS, or equivalent lithium. The lithium battery I bought, I must keep away from eBay when drinking, is the way, I say WAY too big. :poop: It's also amazingly lightweight for its size, but would be more suited to a lawn tractor, than a motorbike. :ROFLMAO:

I refitted the original H-D battery and tightened the terminals down tight and this seems to have improved the starting of the bike and for some reason, the battery seems to retain a charge better when idle. It still needs a top-up charge more frequently than previous, not keyless, motos. I guess I just need to ride it more! 👍
Most people just keep a float charger on them, the bike comes with a charge port to keep everything all charged up. The security/FOB system does put a little drain on the battery, especially if the FOB is near the bike. If you don't have access to power and it has to sit for a while, put the key elsewhere and put the bike in transport mode, that will disable the security

Did you run into any issues installing the ATX12-HD-RS battery? For example:
  • Did you have to remove the three foam strips in the bottom of the battery compartment?
  • Did the battery come with foam spacers that had to be used to make it fit or did the battery fit as is out of the box?

Just curious, did you also purchase the remote start option for the battery?
Restart Remote, Powersport Batts

Thanks!
Hi, I replaced the stock with the antigravity battery. More CCA, and lighter. Fits in the original battery compartment, even a touch smaller than the original.
I did get the remote start fob too, but haven't used it. I think that was like $20-30, and given the PITA the PA's battery is to access, worth it in my mind.

Can post pics if anyone is interested.

Well. Antigravity battery fitted. Not a difficult job, but more hassle than a battery swap should be.

Started and stop the bike several times with no issues. Only done a 100 mile ride so far, but no issues or random triangle light ever time the bike was stopped on tick-over. So looks like the issue was a dead battery.

It’s annoying having to buy a battery for a bike that’s still under warranty, but if it fixes the issues then worth it in the end. And I did learn a couple of things. 1, being able to touch the floor when you stop isn’t overrated. It’s pretty nice. 2, I can pick a Pan America up on my own when needed.
Every-days a school day as they say.

Agreed, but with the upgraded battery it stays healthy for longer and recharges faster as and when I know I'll be using the bike. Keeping it connected 24/7 in our garage space isn't desirable. I do keep the FOB in a locked key safe in a different room to the moto. Transport mode is a good call, reminder. I'll try that, although I hope I'm out charging the battery using the motor, like intended! 🆒

While I'm here, recently bought a 12v DC2DC charger from Mr Optimate. Very bloody handy to be able to charge a battery, from a battery, and very bloody good it is too. Optimate DC. Recommended. £75 on eBay.

BTW. That Noco NLP30 700amp MF, while it was the wrong size for the bike, totally, thanks to beer goggles, it has been pushed into service recently in an RV (caravan) install, and is putting in a decent shift already, bloody great wee battery that's a real hard to kill bastard, which is unusual for small 12v batteries. Look at them the wrong way and they're toast normally.

I went with Antigravity XT12-HD , direct replacement for PAS. It also has built in jumpstart battery. 6 months in service so far I’m pleased.

I did measure the voltage with a multimeter prior to installing it. Battery was fully charged on a tender prior. Voltage showed 13.65v.
That's the same battery I installed on my 21PAS , I bought the remote also. I haven't put it on the tender for 6 months or so. I wasn't haven't any issues with mine either. Was taking trip to Big Bend and going a lot of back roads, just wanted peace of mind. So far so good.

Anyone ever heard of the XS Titan8 lithium battery? Just watched this Travelling Tall video on youtube.. probably an ad, but the promises are pretty big. Expensive battery but if its to be believed, may be worth it.

The head wrench at my HD dealer was telling me about how good that battery is, but at that price it's to rich for my blood. He also said that the HD branded Lithium batteries are junk.

I know this thread is older but I am interested in pics if your still around. Looking to replace my battery now.

Two years later. What’s the verdict ?
Two years and 4 months on my Antigravity. No issues at all. Hasn't been on a trickle charger once. I also haven't had a single diagnostic code since the install. (Except for a the time me and four other guys got a nice water/gas mixture from a gas station in Kentucky). I have 38k total miles and I think about 31k were on the AG battery. The longest the bike sat was about 3 weeks and the coldest I've ridden is 25F. The bike was outside during a 17 degree night, but it was 25F before I left the next morning. No issues.

EDIT:

I did run the battery down to it's cutoff point once using an air compressor attached to a direct battery connection. (My battery is the "re-start" version, it basically shuts off when it hits a predetermined low voltage. Then it can be "re-started" by pressing a button on top.) The PA battery bracket covers up most of the button, but I was able to press it with a chopstick. When I started the bike, it came up with several faults. All of them with an "H" (history) and related to some module losing connection or not communicating. All cleared, and haven't seen them since. I switched my air compressor to a "Fantik" version that has it's own battery.

This is great to know! I appreciate the reply and look forward to swapping the original battery to something more reliable.

My new to me 2021 PAS was delivered last week and the battery is completely dead so I’m guessing the delivery folk didn’t put it in transport mode and drained the battery. I am out of the country so I got my wife to plug in my battery tender but it’s showing a reversed polarity warning. I can’t believe the factory tender cable has been installed incorrectly and my tender has worked on all my other bikes so I’m guessing the battery is fried. Any thoughts?
My guess is it is so dead your tender can’t get a solid reading.

I have issues with the OEM battery. 💩

I have recharged the fecker several times now and yet after not being used for a couple of weeks and doing accessory testing - it failed to start the bike. It did after being on charge, but feck me, it's borderline capable OEM 💩

I got looking at lithiium feckers and ended up going with a Noco Lithium NLP30 700A, bastid. NOCO - 700A Lithium Powersport Battery - NLP30

Cost me £100. More on this story, later. 🆒

Hello to all,
My issue is that I have to replace the battery.
After the long conversation here you all now very well experienced.
What would you recommend for me.
Regarding fitting, crank power...
