Hello… found the same mount as Touratech on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. I said what the hell and picked one up. Since it was delivered without directions, guess how I figured out how to assemble? Touratech web site for the same bracket they sell. Guess now I need to research GPS since a saved a butt load.

Senor Dirt Rod

That LOOKS to be a solid bracket. Touratech is still outta stock. What Mount did you score from Amazon I gotta pull the trigger on one of'em. I was looking at the Garmen Zuma XT2 they go for $6 Bills. But the XT's with a 1/2 inch smaller screen are going for $4 Bills. I may do that. They advertise to be designed for Adventure Motorcycles...who knows?

Solid is an understatement. You will pull the dash off the bike before this mount moves. Not sure who makes it but this is what I put on from my order.

Dirt Rod, order placed. thanks for uploading your photos. It could be just me, but the photos in the advertisement look to be a different type of bracket then the one we purchased. Especially if you look at the photo of the fastening points along the side. I do trust i will receive the same bracket you installed. That is then one I want with the clearance you have have over the TFT.

Prob just an oversite... Prob have some 15 year old putting these ads together.

I will adv.

I did not use the two screws provided for the front faring. Went to Ace and purchased the exact size and length needed. No drilling required and solid as a rock. Let me know if you need more detail.

Got My bracket Looks solid; There is not a whole lot to these things. I can't imagine what more Touoratec's mount would offer for additional $70. I can use the savings to score a Touratec GPS locking device, $200, but it looks like a solid piece of Equipment.

After what it took to put this bracket on, your touch screen is secure and no need for a lock. You'll see. Also, what good is a lock when a motivated individual pops out the four screws it takes to walk away with the entire dash assembly? Save your $200 for something worth while.

Finally got my mount installed. I also followed the Touratec YouTube video. Real easy except they supplied the wrong size bolts for the bottom mounting points. No biggie I went and scored black ones anyway. I can't think of what Touratec could do to make their mount any better. this looks to be very steady, solid mount.

After seeing how easy it was to remove the entire dash - sound advice about wasting money on the TFT lock.

What is the recommended way to hook up the 12 Volt power, straight to the battery? I seen one guy tap off the heated seat power source. I guess so the power goes on and off with the ignition switch instead of constant power to the GPS.

I think Touratec is out of the Pan Am business. All their Pan Am products are still out of stock.

I also received the wrong two front screws as well. I went to Ace Hardware for the proper screw. No way was I going to drill out the factory hole. I did a 12-volt connection to the heated gear under the seat. Switched power. Routed on top of the gas tank, under that tank cover. Looks like factory. $9 Amazon heated gear adaptor, I soldered the connections, wire loom and heat shrink to finish the job. Works like a charm. And now you know why a $200 security panel is a complete waste of good money.

Harley-Davidson part number for connector: 69201599A

Thanks guys; Yeager's videos are great. I will go the Heat Gear route first. I will order the connector and install it and have it ready for any additional switched power needs. I would have never imagined Harley would have the forethought to install a convenient auxiliary plug.

I scored an Altrider GPS mount which is righteous, solid mount which provides 1 1/2 up n down adjustment for the GPS. Once tightened up this baby dose not move. For the time being I sourced my 12 V from the heated gear gear plug via a "The Warming Store" male plug, the Gerbing male plugs were out of stick. I have 12V's at the GPS Pwr connector at the mount but my GPS is not charging in the accessory mode. It dose charge with C-Plug.

I will mess with it today.
