Hey there been riding a road glide special for 8 years. Want an adventure bike. Found a guy that would trade me his pan america. It is a 21 that had an engine failure, has been rebuilt with 23 parts. Have done all the updates so basically a new bike. About 4k on the new engine. I have confirmed this with the dealer that did the work. Now I've been reading through the internet and kind of getting cold feet. In your guys experience are the majority problem free and it is the ones with the issues scream the loudest? Thanks for any input. Excited to possibly join the club!

If is not the cable adjustment, they did not perform the fix correctly.
Is goose a troll? Having been browsing a few threads he can't seem to help but be negative. Take the bike in and get it fixed.
Hello StreetPirate unlike you i do not talk "negative " towards people on this forum so you could ask yourself the same question ,if one can not talk about things that happen on the Pan Ameirca bike what good is free speach and a open forum the bike has flaws and some of those are not small, it just so happens that i was there at the dealership yesterday and they put the bike on the dyno low and behold it is the camshaft outlet front cyclinder that is causing the problem. I bought a 23 PAS traded a Road Glide CVO Limited. It was great deal and the correct way to go for me. That was this spring. We have not had one issue in 5000 miles it’s been an excellent reliable MC and we are thrilled with it. This things ide tidied on earlier modelbs can be corrected pretty easily.

After 60 years of working with mechanical and now software "enhanced" machines, I've never known of a "trouble-free" mechanism that has moving parts and/or software that continues to be improved ("debugged"). The individual owner is still the most important and most capable of maintaining and ensuring the machine works well. Anyone who expects such machines and/or devices to be "trouble-free" will spend their life in disappointment. JMHO
